You can change your banner any time, even after becoming a vassal. Press B to enter the banner creation screen.
You can design a banner on a website at bannerlord.party/banner then create and copy the code. It has more options
You can enter character creator at any time. Press CTRL C to copy code. Press CTRL V to paste code.
Hold E then press A or D to strafe horse left or right.
Double tap S to stop horse
Double tap W to break into gallop
Press G to drop item
Hold G to bring up selection wheel (to drop item)
Press X to use weapons Alternate mode. This will let you couch lances.

Press capslock to walk
Press ` to view character 3rd person
Press ALT to highlight units and see unit counts, also highlights enemies on ground, also reveals points of interest in town
Left Click to drag formations.
Tap ALT after selecting command and you can free select where you left-click drag units
Your character is right handed. You cannot fire to the right from saddle
Right click to ready bow without drawing it
Use arrow keys to walk on OW map
Open Encyclopedia with N, type in character name, click "track town" to make them always visible
Snow, Tree's, and Prisoners slow your party.
Pack animals (Camels, Sumpter Horses, Work Horses) as well as pigs and cows add to your herd and slow your party
Free horses will speed up your party slightly for every footman in your party, but if you have more horses than footmen it adds to your herd and slows your party
Fighting battles gives your character a temporary speed penalty on OW map
You can rightclick any animal in your inventory to butcher it for food, sometimes meat sells for more than the live animal
Food variety increases army morale, and also improves your steward skill. Steward skill also levels with delegating battles

Troops gain EXP in a pool by type. If you have 20 Recruits, they all share EXP equally. Upgrade troops in large blocks, preferrably all at once if possible, as it makes it easier for them to get EXP since they can "carry" one another. This even applies to wounded troops that do not participate
Recruit mercenaries and companions from taverns
You can recruit Bandits if your rougery skill is high enough
You can manually assign unit categories - either to fix the game being retarded, or to purposefully leave melee troops with the missile troops to defend them
Party order determines who comes into a hide-out. Top loads first. This may be bugged
Prices in markets fall for each unit you sell because it increases supply
You can trade with villagers and traders for better prices before they make their deliveries to towns on the OW
Going directly to a tavern then exiting it is usually quicker as it takes you right to the city center, you do not need to walk through the gates
Companions enter cities with you and mill about randomly. If you find one, you can ask them to round the others up.
With your companions you can fight gangs in alleyways, this gets you loot and renown and improves your standing with non criminals
Companions can use the smithy. Probably better than you.
If your companions culture matches a fief they govern, they get a bonus to order
You can spend influence to increase army cohesion (which keeps summoned banner armies together) in the army management screen.
If other parties in your army run out of food, they'll eat yours, and give you influence for it.
You can reroll fiefs others own to try and get one by spending influence. It costs a lot.
You can set constructed siege equipment in reserve so it wont get destroyed by enemy defenses before you go to battle
You can do this to 'bank' siege equipment to destroy enemy equipment on the OW map

To add to the "recruiting bandits" part, if you get Leadership to 125 by leading armies and then pick the Disciplinarian perk, you can convert the bandits to their culture's elite troops.
Forest Bandits become Battanian Fian Champions, the strongest (archer) unit in the game at the moment.
Sea Raiders become Sturgian Druzhinnik Champions.
Steppe Bandits become Khan's Guard.

but horses early game are expensive, and long-term harder to fuel a warmachine. battanians, sturgians, and vlandians all have powerful archers that are relatively cheap too. late game, a band of 100 fians can rout numbers up to thrice your seize as they carry 2-handed weapons. if you're playing on realistic select your archer unit, loosen them up, and drag them into a line with topography and terrain in mind. i literally never have more than 4 casualties in mid-size battles, and in 1000+ battles the only thing that even get remotely in range of the fians are cavalry that get decimated if it isn't heavy.
