if the console is some ugly fat box like all the leaks are suggesting due to excessive cooling requirements then a controller reveal along side it might make it seem less shitty but now everyone has high expectations for the design based on the controller so if its shit then sony will get bad press.

It costs a premium price to get a Dualsense controller with awesome features like The Touchpad, microphone, speakers and surpreme led lights. Included with the PS5 console for just $549.

A large segment of people aren't going to be buying anything like PS5 or new Xbox this year considering how many people are losing their jobs. I don't know when I'll be back to work since I'm on a furlough atm, so I have no plans for any big purchases in the fall.

which no game will ever use. even this gen i can't think of a single game which actually uses the touchpad outside of yakuza 0 when navigating the map because its touch based. none of the big first party games uses it and the only game i've ever seen use the speaker is horizon zero dawn. these are all meme technologies nobody actually cares about and i'd bet 99% of people would take a cheaper price if they could trade those features in the controller.

Honestly i'm hoping once the XSX comes out they continue their BC expansion lists even on the Xbone. I really wanna fucking play Phantasy Star Universe or Tenchu Z again, I can't even start the latter up in Xenia without the title screen crash and sound delay.
