The Japanese Switch version is not the same as the Japanese Wii U version.
All Switch versions are based off the censored NA Wii U version. So yes I know what you're thinking but for the Japanese Switch version, they really did translate the censored English scenes back into Japanese and kept all the other rewrites and cuts.
You need to hack your Pii U to play in English uncensored.

I dunno why but I found the game really tedious. Having to re-grind skills whenever you get a new character, enemy sessions wiping the party in a single turn, a lot of the things made the game feel like a hassle to play. SMT IV already had the 2nd issue with smirking, but smirking was more of a boss problem while regular battles had session issues for me.
