While I am sad that they're basically saying Crisis Core isn't canon or doesn't exist anymore. I am happy to always have more Zack. As one of five people on this board that played the fuck out of CC, I'm excited.

I think Zack would completely overshadow Cloud, but I dunno. could be great. Zack is a great character.

I think it will either be a side story within part 2, or a DLC episode type thing like in FF15 before part 2 where him and alternate non amnesia cloud are gonna do some random bullshit in the same assets as part 1 given they're heading to midgar and they will probably have a dumb anime fight with sephiroth or some random space threat and they will sacrifice in order to make the main cast safe from some random shit they will never know but will keep being hinted at in a 4th wall type of way in part 2

Only operator mode. Cloud's punisher mode is based off of Sephiroth's fighting style.

But yeah, Cloud is canonically just a Zack rip-off. What would they do to make the two distinct?

I remember beating it for the first time and crying like a bitch. I was a freshman in high school at the time and remember laying in bed after beating while having an existential crisis.

We'll be timeline hopping between Cloud's party and Zack's party trying to find the ideal outcome. Zack's party will save Jessie, Cloud's party had Biggs saved. Wedge is ??? I can't trust a second offscreen death to be a death.

I don't think the ending did anything to Crisis core. Type Gs were still mentioned earlier in the game. The only difference is that the whole game happened sooner than it was supposed to and our Cloud is probably a possessed reunion guy too. And since we broke the fate ghosts before Zack could die he was able to survive

Just have Cloud and Zack learn different attack modes that are only unique to one of them.

Maybe they could redesign it? Not sure how it'd work in FF7 Remake combat, like maybe it could be his special combat mode? It would suck though just because in CC you never knew what attack or summon you'd end up getting. It's all RNG based.
