Anyone else with a PC and no consoles feeling kind of pissed about the lack of couch co-op games? My younger sister and downstairs neighbor are obviously getting really bored from the lockdown/quarantine and not having many games we/they can play is a bummer. She's never been into games before so my parents didn't buy her a Switch and they're really expensive now. I volunteered to connect my PC up to the main TV so people could play games.
So Yas Forums, what are your favorite couch co-op PC games that would be appealing to female kids. I only point out that they're female cause boys would be fine playing shooters and various action games I have, but by sister and the girl from downstairs that she's friends with don't like anything even remotely violent or serious. They sometimes watch me play Assassin's Creed r Forza Horizon 4 but neither is suitable for them to play. Sister is 10, downstairs girl is probably around the same.
>Anyone else with a PC and no consoles feeling kind of pissed about the lack of couch co-op games? Yes. I even hate how most ports of console games remove the splitscreen feature.

>my younger sister Uh oh.

Human Fall Flat is a great casual coop and pretty much any side scrolling coop games is good too.
Aaron Reyes
Super Bomberman R is on Steam and they'll probably like it
Matthew Williams
i honestly don't even know what people play for co-op on Xbox or PS4, co-op in FPS games has really fizzled out over the last decade and there's no big equivalent to Mario Kart or Splatoon or whatever like Nintendo has. all I can think of is fighting games tbqh
Nolan Harris
Overcooked Speedrunners Minecraft
Jacob Nelson
Get a controller or two and play the LEGO games or anything from Frozenbyte like Shadowgrounds and Trine series.
Sebastian Wood
there are literally hundreds of couch co op/multiplayer games on pc. >Duck Game >Spelunky >both Divinity games >Enter the Gungeon >Castle Crasher >Cuphead >Orcs Must Die 2 >Portal 2 >L4D2 >The Binding of Isaac Rebirth LOOK at your library, user. I'm almost certain you have at least a couple of these. these are just a couple in mine
Landon Sanders
How about Overcooked, user? Another alternative is picking up some emulators and setting up 2-4 player games:
Any mario party (depends) Crash Bash (ps1) Dokapon Kingdom (ps2/wii) Magical Quest 2 and 3 (snes, 2 players co-op) Castle of Illusion (genesis, 2 players co-op)
Juan Martin
Yeah but a lot of it is not suitable for my sister and her friend. Maybe castle crashers

>My younger sister I stopped there. This thread is gonna get hijacked by based cunny posters
Grayson Bell
do a lan party with gta sa multiplayer mod it's like a couch but with wires
>Those list of games. they may be coop but im sure as hell little girls don't enjoy games that difficult/complex.
Logan Russell
Terraria, minecraft? I don't know if they're able to do split screen though.
Xavier Long
>PC Emulate some games like Puyo Puyo, Puzzle Bobble and Mario Kart.
Noah Robinson
*World of Illusion, sorry. Castle is single-player.
Evan Walker
Had the same issue with my niece, so I lurked for those old flash co-op games (nostalgia) haha she loves them. The problem is that we don't fit on the same chair so she had to sit on my lap.
Hunter Richardson
I'll try overcooked and emulators I think. I didn't think overcooked had couch co-op on PC but I guess I'm dumb. My worry with emulators is they'll crash or overheat my computer and I don't want the girl downstairs to laugh at me. Not even joking, I hate getting laughed at by kids I don't really know.

civilization 5

user, I'm pretty sure your system can handle up to PS1 emulation just fine.
Ian Rogers
Honestly you might wanna set up dolphin emulator and download some games for it, wii had a ton of good co-op games that run really well on dolphin.
Easton Taylor
Only accurate emulators can overload your CPU, but you don't need that to play with your lil sis. Just go for ez mode stuff like ZSNES and NeoRage X. Avoud NESticle for obvious reasons.
Jaxon Gutierrez
Emulators are a safe choice. There are a ton of multiplayer games there. If you want to pick something easy for them, drop Kirby Superstar on them, or the Lego games from the PS2. Maybe Smash? There are some toaster friendly emulators. You get used to getting laughed at after a while
OP here. Another question. What sort of socks do girls like to game in? I have some socks for them just in case but I don't want to look like an idiot and give them the wrong socks. Please don't tell me girls like to play games in shoes.
Isaac Perez
Jesus Christ since when did we become okay with fucking blog posts from underage faggots?
Still a better thread than the shit Yas Forums and /jp/ have been dumping here for a while.
Nathaniel Garcia
This is an imposter. My little sister and her friend are barefoot inside so I have no need for sock info.
Elijah Lopez
i dont think girls like playing video games much anyways, i would recommend sims, creative mode minecraft or any games with pets or dressing characters up
Real OP here. So that they can be comfy while we play games on the couch together. I don't want hard shoes on my lap. You're the imposter. And probably a pervert. Okay, that works. I thought they would want something girly but I can give them regular socks.
