Why did this win goty? I haven't heard much about this game at all after a week where as Resident Evil 2 was getting much more coverage and was the more anticipated game to come out.
Why did this win goty...
>giving a shit about game awards
It was much better than Resident Evil 2 though.
>giving game of the year to a REMAKE
What is this? 2020?
DEmake2 was garbage.
Sekiro was a-OK Souls clone.
Simple.
Sekiro was not a butchered spinoff of a 20 year-old mega classic.
people talk about this game constantly they endlessly bitch about it
because it was a better game
because sekiro was legitimately the best game of the year
How many hours did you guys spent on this game? how replayable is it? also is there no DLC? I alaways enjoyed souls DLCs..
No dlc
And i found it to be not very replayable
Also get the souls comparison out of your head
If you play it like souls you're gunna get rekt
Play it stealthy and like a parry ninja
Because Sekiro is great.
about 75 hours over the course of two playthroughs (one of the endings occurs about 2/3s into the game)
ng+ works similarly to the souls games except there's no builds
no dlc
worth the money at launch as far as i'm concerned. i'm going to start another playthrough soon
Miyazaki is the Leonardo DiCaprio of the video game awards
Will it ever get a better discount considering the publisher?
There's a sekiro thread here almost everyday. It gets talked about all the time
No where near as much as RE2
>How many hours did you guys spent on this game
120 and counting
>how replayable is it?
Depends what you mean by replayable. If you mean additional content and different builds to try out? You'll probably get around 2-3 playthroughs before you've done anything. Personally though, I've found the game to be much more replayable than Souls simply because the core mechanics are a lot more enjoyable, and the game is consistently good. Only my 8th playthrough now, and I bought the game last month
> also is there no DLC? I alaways enjoyed souls DLCs..
No, and none has been announced. Still, it's the only game From put out last decade that actually feels complete, and the games quality is consistently high throughout. DLC feels unnecessary, although it would be nice.
>I haven't heard much about this game at all after a week
If you say so retard
100+, but this game is now in my top 20. Most people won't get that long, but it's 30 hours roughly on a first playthrough
so the pacing of the game is good enough that replaying it doesn't feel like a hassle (dark souls 2)?
is it toaster friendly?
Yeah. The quality is very consistent across the entire game, and while your first playthrough can take an extremely long time (due to the learning curve), subsequent ones are very quick.
How is this from bullshit still $38 on sale?
sekiro is great I use it to check if my audio drivers are working
My first play was like 20+ hours, I have 56 on record to get all the achievements
>published by activision
Because it's a better game than anything else that came out that year. No, a fucking remake doesn't deserve a GOTY award.
is this going to run in a 750ti?
remake 2 was good, but did absolutely nothing new gameplay wise, sekiro delivered one of the most polished combat's ever
Fromsoft made it
The can shit anything out with the same tired "dead world, don't show or tell" story and "super-difficult" gameplay and casuals will eat it up without thinking.
With the way the game plays out it doesn't need DLC but it definitely deserves a sequel.
Sekiro rules, no cap
Ashina isn't a dead world.
I'm currently stuck in the Armored Warrior
He rapes my posture in 3 attacks
Got 4 playthroughs for each of the endings. By NG+3 you've become so good at the combat you can steamroll it like a samurai lunatic.
