>anti-cheat is a rootkit >community moderators are deleting any discussion about it >Riot's response was "dude just trust us" >Riot paid an e-babysitter $6 million to play it >forcing people to watch the game to get a key >forcing an e-sports scene before the game is even out of closed beta >audio has issues >causes issues with Steam and VAC games >characters are unbalanced >microtransactions in closed beta >cs:go players dont like abilities >hero shooter players don't like to aim >players are exposed on the minimap before you even see them in game
>causes issues with Steam and VAC games Holy shit what
John Gray
none of that is true specially >forcing people to watch the game to get a key you only need 2hours total watch time you lying retard then you are entered to win even if your offline

I've had twitch open for 4 days, some people i know have it open for longer. None of us got keys.
Cameron Scott
I don't play videogames i don't caree
Jonathan Murphy
>>microtransactions in closed beta Are they fucking kidding? This is some "before the body goes cold" kind of shit.
Liam Hughes
It's been causing FPS stuttering and performance issues in other games, but this is the first I've heard of it completely fucking with VAC and Steam connections.
Sebastian Johnson
How can someone be this stupid? Having to watch two hours is having to watch two hours.
Carter Martinez
already seen lots of people with the first skin bundle they released that cost 60$ USD shit is fucking stupid
Hudson Watson
let them install a rootkit I say. anyone retarded enough to want to play this trash deserves it.
Cameron Gray
>take Dota >make everything worse >even the engine is dogshit compared to Warcraft 3 lmao Riot niggers can get fucked.
Bentley Nelson
played 3 matches and it was kinda fun, not something I'll play too much tho, maybe like once a week when my friends get the game.
John Phillips
>rootkit
do you even know what that means, user?
Angel Hernandez
>blizzard makes world of warcraft and diablo and starcraft around the same time >they are good >makes stuff afterwards >complete shit
>riot is like blizzard were league of legends is their world of warcraft >everything past it is complete trash
dead card game, shit fps, now its time for the fighting game
I would honestly be fucking amazed if they are able to fail to capitalize on fighting game when all the fucking companies are trash and the current games are all mediocre.
Brandon Bennett
but its riot, they'll find a way to fail lol.
Lincoln Myers
>download chinkshit mobagarbage >complain that you get fucked

why does Yas Forums hate thisbskill based game? its cs 1.6 with skills but the main focusbis shooting and yoi have to aim well. Nothing is OP so far except the grenade dude and revive.
Kayden Davis
nice phone post retard
Zachary Thompson
Why trash it on closed beta? It’s like spitting on an infant for being useless
Michael Cook
THEY'LL PATCH IT
Cameron Davis
>grimdark Claptrap
Nathaniel Williams
This is the game. The beta is just for hype.
Adrian Foster
Cant wait to see literally every new game spam the brilliant marketing strategy "watch twitch streamers to get key" to trick people into thinking the game has organic popularity.
John Perez
It's a game actually on beta tho they have time to fix it, also what about microstransactions on beta is bad? MMOs have had cash shops on closed betas since 2003 lmfao. Also Valorant's microtransactions get refunded on open beta, they did the same on LoR.
Ian Foster
>Company uses rootkit anti-cheat and doesn't mention the rootkit >Nobody cares
>Riot brings it up and explains why they felt it neccesary >"IS RIOT SELLING OUR INFO TO THE CHINESE? PROBABLY."
If they kept their shit about Vanguard a secret nobody'd be losing their shit but apparently transparency is bad. Also on the top of the microtransactions, they already stated that they plan on refunding the points you spend on release with an extra 20%, so it's mainly an incentive for those who'd want to spend the money now to have extra points later.
>>forcing people to watch the game to get a key This was enough to make me give up on this title.
Blake Ross
>card game what? they got a card game?
Austin Richardson
>kernel-level driver why would they do this? a vulnerability or fuck up by a code monkey in an update could literally kill your entire hardware
Thomas Davis
the cheater forum psyop is still strong i see. Keep crying faggots, soon every game will have vanguard
Liam Robinson
LOL retard the game already has hackers less than a week into it. The Fog of War thing they were talking a bout was a lie.
Adrian Rivera
To be fair, TFT is now the biggest name in the Autochess genre if views on twitch, talks on forums and fandom is something to be guided of (I don't know if there's any official numbers comparison). But yeah besides League and TFT Riot is looking slim, I am still excited for the Zaun/Piltover cartoon because they make better animations than vidya.
Cheating is the primary killer of online fps games This is what you must do or you become csgo where half of the games has at least 1 cheater ruining the illusion of fair pvp.
Jacob Phillips
nice try 3rd world code monkey, your cheat is already detected, find a real job
Dylan Russell
“Legends of Runeterra”
Roping bananza
Logan Turner
Anyone remember League Sharp? I remember they went nuclear over it because the devs were greedy enough to charge money for it. All it did was SHOW you the skill shots and predictability in real time. It literally wasn't an aim bot until later. It was also pretty damn easy to find out if you were abusing it. I had fun with it while it was still alive.
It's worse keeping in mind is Riot games and their platforms are always a buggy mess. Can't wait for that information leak due to exploits.
Jackson Brown
fuck chinks
Hunter Long
They state it's because a lot of cheats in this day and age operate on Ring 0 as well, and as such it makes it difficult for anti-cheat to be effective unless it too operates on that layer so ultimately it's a case of fighting fire with fire so the hacks can't simply bullshit the anti-cheat and make it think it's safe. Everyone's panicking because kernal-level is a scary idea but it's the only way to handle cheaters anymore because they'd open their computers to just about anyone who might legitimately use them in a botnet or sell their info to get an advantage in a video game. Basically even if a hacker gets away with it once, the anti-cheat can now be updated like an anti-virus would with new definitions that can detect the anti-cheat and react accordingly then and there and because of the kernal-level driver the cheats can't disguise themselves anymore. Is it a shame this is how it has to go? Yeah but it's either this or your game is entirely irrelevant from rampant cheating.
>This is what you must do Hackers have already avoided the anti-cheat. It's fucking useless. The real way you deal with hackers is NOT making your game free to play.
Jason Cox
Dead on arrival
Jason Morales
They'll work with microsoft to make it work better. No one pays for online games anymore, ow did it because blizzard and all after that failed.
Nolan Nelson
Yes yes it's another shooter instead of another porn VN, we know. We're sorry.
Joseph Cooper
Doesn't playing that give you free shit in LoL or something? Makes sense people will play it if it means skipping grind.
Alexander Ross
>already avoided the anti-cheat
You’d think that with riot flaunting their anti-virus that the first time someone cheats you could garner up some video evidence.
>go find it yourself it’s everywhere >is everywhere but can’t produce a single link
Ian Mitchell
Some things you can use in TFT can be used in parts of League,TFT is also baked into the League client itself. But they're treated as separate things.
Logan King
so it's a kernel level driver for no reason? it's still chasing after hackers? then why not just use a VAC-tier solution that doesn't rape your privacy and fill you up with vulnerabilities?
Cameron Wood
VAC is garbage. Example: Team Fortress 2 last week
Caleb Williams
Yes lets do the same shit as valve so the game is filled with blatant hackers and """""""""""""""""legit""""""""""""""""" hackers (aka shitters that deserve the noose.)
Owen Smith
Because when bots named NIGGERKILLER are crashing entire games, maybe VAC isn't exactly fucking effective. The kernal-level driver means the anti-cheat can operate on the same level as the hacks being used, which means if it tries to call a check for "aimbot.exe" or something, aimbox.exe can't just send a message back saying it's actually "fluffykittens.exe" because it doesn't have the advantage of having more privelege than the anti-cheat itself.
