How did Capcom manage to make better 2D Zeldas than Nintendo

because people wants instant gratification and hate kinstone because of it.

loved it and always will.

Lack of side quests and content, it's the best Zelda game though, no suprise it was made by Capcom

It's not, it's great

It's not that great.

For some reason the only 2D (or 2.5d) Zelda games I like are ALttP and its derivatives 4SA and ALbW. All the other ones just seem to miss the mark somehow. I was bored of this one about after the first line of dungeons.

It just went to the wayside. Shame, because I loved the fuck out of it. Tight and compact with things around every corner.

people who meme about how capcom is making a comeback now are forgetting how fucking good their GBA lineup was, and how good they used to be. Legitimately the best 2d zelda.

Honestly? It's probably the most mediocre 2D Zelda.

It’s been forgotten because no one bought it

Because it's actually not that good.
Dungeons are pretty shallow and the gimmick isn't used that well.

the toon link style zeldas always have the most soul

It’s my first Zelda ever. I love it.

>phantom hourglass and spirit tracks sold more than Minish Cap

Why is the world so cruel

Story is lacking and it has some annoying parts.

>the secondary gimmick (kinstones) was transparent padding
>the main helper was an annoying hat bird thing that kept interrupting gameplay to tell you the obvious, even more than the Zelda standard
>fairly linear for a Zelda game, few sidepaths, few sidequests that weren't related to kinstones, basic rewards for those sidequests minus the light arrows
>the figurine sidequest was just gacha bullshit before gacha bullshit got popular
>the main villain Vaati looks like he was tailor-made for gay gangbang doujins, and was otherwise straightforward
It's the Metroid Fusion of Zelda: straightforward and pared down, packs some annoying shit, but overall still a decent Zelda game if you get past the small issues.

The number one reason is that a fair number of people think the hat is a tutorial/navi replacement and skip his dialogue, missing out on the best character and lore in the zelda series.

Those are good games in their own right. The real travesty is Skyward Sword not being lower on that list, now that's a genuine shitshow, and that chart left out Four Swords Adventures and Tri Force Heroes though I don't blame them for forgetting the latter.

It came out when DS was already released, it did so badly that a Disney Princess game and a Finding Nemo game outsold it.

I think it’s only like mainline titles. Otherwise it would have crossbow training, the hd releases, etc

Four Swords Adventures and TFH are mainline titles as well.

I wonder why Gaylight Twinkcest had such a massive bump in sales compared to most of the other titles.

wii sold gangbusters coupled with "muh MATURE ZELDA EXPERIENCE"
I miss the oracle games

>rehashed Link's Awakening
>made the blandest, easiest 2D Zelda
fpwp

After FSA no one wanted to touch a fourswords game.

This was surprisingly good. I thought it would be like Mario Sticker Star levels of dissapointment but it wasn't. Well done.

Burden of proof is on you.

It was hyped to the moon. And largely contributed to the Wii's initial success, much like BotW. Which, of course, brought in more sales over time.

Because it was an average forgettable Zelda game.

FSA was a sequel/port of the bonus game for the gba port of link to the past. And I honestly believe the gba title is the better of the two. FSA was the first zelda title released by nintendo that wasnt great, and it wasnt just not-great, it was garbage.
