The originals still exist. Every dev will talk about remakes in a new context, doing/expressing things they could not before, fully "realizing" the vision of the old games. Because the game is just as "gamey" as the original, Cloud isn't an emo bitchboi like in KH, the bantz is top tier, and the game is fun, and the story keeps things from getting predictable. If I want turn-based FFVII with all its pros and cons, I play that. If I want a new FFVII experience, I play the new game. That simple.

It isn't, you're just an autistic catamite that can't handle divergence from a 20+ year old game because of Square syndrome. Square syndrome is a mysterious strain of autism surrounding Square IPs, in that people have some abnormal devotion to them. You cannot objectively explain why it is bad, all you can do is complain it is different.
The only thing that makes the Remake inferior is the fact it doesn't contain the full FFVII narrative that it is intended to follow, IE, it is not the complete, new story. It blows the original out of the water in everything else.
