I hate Waluigifags so much. I’ve been wanting him in since Melee, and my arguments of him being a spin-off representative and a semi-villain have been respected. I also genuinely love the purple underdog. Then suddenly Waluigi becomes a Reddit meme, and everyone is rabidly supporting his inclusion and harassing Mr. Sakurai. Waluigifags don’t want Waluigi because they love the character, his games, and what he represents; they want him because they want to be in on the circlejerk and think it’s funny.

I unfortunately have to somewhat agree with that. While most big widely known characterfags aren't as bad as the reddit Waluigifags thanks to the Discordfags (a.k.a Whatever-mask-of-the-month-they're-wearing-fags) rosterfagging hasn't really been the same.
