No friends as a kid

>no friends as a kid
>nobody liked him or wanted to include him
>became jealous of everyone and tricked himself into thinking he was too smart or mature to hang out with them at all
>became obsessed with a girl who he barely knew or talked to
Cloud is LITERALLY me.

>girl he barely knew or talked too
they were childhood friends you faggot

Play the game.

Not OP, but play the game again. Tifa barely knew Cloud and the scene of Tifa meeting up with Cloud was something out of the blue for her. She didn't think about Cloud until AFTER he left.

Its not really covered, there are 2 options up for interpretation.
1) Cloud was the local autistic kid Tifa hung out with out of pity because he was uninvited to the local games.
2) Cloud was the only boy that didn't constantly beg Tifa for attention growing up and, as such, earned her interest and close friendship.

Damn I totally forgot about this
Feels shitty considering the remake painted them as bffs

You are remembering wrong. When they went into the lifestream it was revealed Tifa was always hanging around with the other village boys but not Cloud, he was stalking her as a kid. The scene where they meet up with each other as kids Tifa considered that something she would never do.

the same people who wrote the original wrote remake so either it's a new take on their relationship or this is what they meant all along and you got the wrong idea through a bad translation

>Cloud is LITERALLY Yas Forumse

>Its not really covered
It's covered explicitly.

i love this model of cloud, i wanna fuck his square poly ass

>explicitly
explain since your so smart.

I remember some of that scene, but the stalking part seems exaggerated.

>painted them as bffs

You're not wrong their either, since Tifa only really seems to have kept contact and interest with Cloud after all of those years. Not to mention the more private conversations they've shared.

Why are you getting angry for no reason?
It's canon they were total strangers, look at the goddamn lifestream scene.
They have two meetings one on one in their entire life prior to Midgar.
1. Mt. Nibel accident
2. Date before he leaves.
That's it. They meet in Nibelheim when he's a shinra grunt but that doesn't count.

She only gave two shits about cloud until after he tried to save her life. Women. Amiright?

I would like to cover Tifa explicitly.

Sorry i didn't mean to come across as angry, but just saying "you're wrong" doesn't really amount to much.

Both of those scenes do seem to imply a longer standing relationship between the two though, and in the remake there are a couple of scenes added for context such as "why are you ignoring me?" or w/e it was.

Some people have insecurities when they realize they lost someone good and think that's the best they can get then strive to get that person back.

Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

>became jealous of everyone and tricked himself into thinking he was too smart or mature to hang out with them at all
I still can't get over this.
This is how most of the JRPG-playing folk grew up and FF7 itself showed Cloud fucking himself in life by doing it.

Watch Nomura remove that aspect.

>the same people who wrote the original wrote remake
Get a load of this guy, Sakaguchi.

Is the reunion translation worth it?

I wish there was media of any form about people who are truly, truly alone. That's literally the only group that I've never seen represented.
I want someone to write a book about someone with no friends who just goes to work and doesn't talk to anyone unless it's a work related question. And then comes home and play Quake on his shitty 2003 PC.

Maybe she wasn't getting much attention from him or she just missed some qualities you had. I don't know, i'm just here to post about ff7

I just wish that it didn't fly over my head.

Hmm yes. I'll delete the post

To be fair if he asked they would've said "no" and he would've beaten them all up, which is what he did after Mt. Nibel anyway.

>and he would've beaten them all up,

You sure about that, champ?

Conflict generally involves at least two people, and even man vs. self needs supporting characters. A story about a guy who goes through life never interacting with anyone would be very boring, because that kind of life is very boring

Cloud design is so shitty

Yep, hes based.
