What the fuck was his problem?

What the fuck was his problem?

His fashion sense, for one thing

His boss was a cunt.
>implying Shades wasn’t baller as fuck

>get told that you have one month to prevent your beloved city from getting blown up by your shithead demigod superior
>have to do this while trying to prevent people from figuring out that the Composer has left Shibuya and thus can’t bring anyone back to life
Kitaniji did nothing wrong

horrible posture

>be Kitaniji
>desperate to save Shibuya no matter what
>look for the best of the best of the Reapers to serve as your GMs to ensure the city you love survives
>have a top man in Kariya who refuses to get off his ass so you need alternatives
>week 1, get a bootlicking meathead who can't go two seconds without making a food joke
>week 2, get a literal fucking madman who betrays the organization the first chance he gets
>week 3, your secretary gets too uppity and also decides to betray you with said madman before getting herself killed
>she also gives the players six fucking days to find a way into your hideout instead of just taking them out
>even though you issued a full alert so there's literally nothing stopping her from just icing them on the spot
>you just wanted to save Shibuya
Shades was the true hero of TWEWY. You can’t prove me wrong on this.

This bitch

Why is he so smug?

I’d be smug too if I had the power to summon heavenly beams of light to dab on my enemies.

>meanwhile Joshua gets away with literally everything
How can one man be this based?

What I like about Kitaniji is how, in retrospect, his actions weren’t just him being needlessly cruel and he has an actual legitimate reason for his actions throughout the game.

>always figured that him making Shiki Neku’s Entry Fee was just him being a dick
>he was actually just trying to cover up for the fact that nobody can be brought back to life due to Joshua’s absence

What the fuck was HIS problem?

Wanted to kick God’s ass but failed to measure up.

Autism
Joshua isn’t even God, though. He’s pretty low on the celestial totem pole compared to Mr. H and the other Angels.

When you think about it as a whole, the concept of the Reaper’s Game makes it essentially a necessary evil. Its job is to filter out the most creative who would be of most benefit to keeping society healthy and to offer them a second chance at life and the Reapers, while being sadistic in a sense due to how their jobs revolve around erasing souls, aren’t objectively evil due to this. Not to mention how entry fees are used not to make the players suffer for the sake of it but to get to reflect on why their entry fee is so important and to get them to become truly better people. We’ve seen this in action too, thanks to Neku, Shiki, and Beat and their own development.

What was Joshua's problem? He seemed to be the only character in the game who actually despised how Shibuya was, even Neku seemed content to just ignore everyone and do his own thing. The secret reports make it sound like Shibuya was developing into a high-value place the way it was.

Plus there we’re missions in Week 1 that were dedicated to having the players actually help the denizens of the RG out, like with the concert hall and the entire thing with Ai and Mina.
Joshua lost hope in the people of Shibuya and believed that they were too dull and clouded to realize their true potential. Because of this, he was afraid that this kind of behavior would eventually spread throughout the other grounds, and, considering how the Noise operate, you can kind of see where he’s coming from. Due to his interactions with Neku, however, he changes his mind and instead chooses to spare it.

This kind of shit is why I would’ve loved for a spin-off game/sequel that dives more into this. TWEWY’s lore and worldbuilding is actually really damn interesting.

Agreed, though using Neku as the main protag for it is a really bad call due to how complete his original arc was.

source?

I like how varied the Reapers were in personality to reflect this. They ranged from being total slackers and devious assholes to being legitimately friendly and helpful to the cast.

Its been awhile but wasn't Joshua really isolated compared to other angels? Like since he's a composer he has to live on Earth with the only angel he can talk to be Mr. H? It could've been some elaborate excuse to make friends with Neku. Though shooting someone is pretty psychotic

For the words or the image?

The image

Sorry. I just got it from this board.

He was out of his vector

>Levels and hardness settings might just be game mechanics, but there's a better explanation in-universe
>Neku is simply increasing his vibe/frequency like Angels and the Composer do, but on a way more insignificant scale in comparison
Deepest lore.

Just how powerful is Neku, really? Guy goes from getting BTFO by frogs on the first day to being able to take on a seven-headed dragon fucker in the end.

Ah. It's not porn. It's from Kengan Ashua. Too bad.

Mr. H’s graffiti. It was designed to attract people with high raw potential and also to passively refine and improve their capacity. Neku was obsessed in the first place even before his friend died, and then in his grief he spent around a year doing nothing but zoning out in front of a wall staring at the magic potential training device. Plus, there’s this bit in the Secret Reports.
>As Reaper and Player alike progress through the Game, engaging in Imagination-driven combat, their Soul is refined.
>mfw this explains how the level-up and pin evolution system actually functions
