They tried. The project was absolutely cursed but in the end, Tabata tried his best to salvage it. He deserved better. He directed one mediocre game that was an absolute mess when he took over and was let go by Square, meanwhile fucking Toriyama gets to co direct major Triple A projects like the FF7 Remake despiting not only making the worst game in the series but doubling down on it.

I love FFXV. A truly amazing game

It was a good tech demo. I haven't played it since they started releasing the episodes because frankly I didn't care about them. I am glad XV could bring us the much superior REMAKE though.
