The problem with open world is really twofold: a lack of sufficient content between the two bases which really requires a slimming down of things, and it kind of takes all the challenge out of many missions and areas when approaching from any angle also means you can sprint like a bitch for a mile and lose all enemies besides gunships and Skulls.
