Holy shit did you guys actually have trouble with the AI party members? Or at least not like them enough to only be able to recommend it with party control? I prefer direct party control, but the AI was fine enough to not bother me while using it

It was shit. Having to switch tactics every time was a goddamn chore
No reason to not just have direct fucking control in a fucking video game
Only played Persona 3 once and without the new control hack. I believe that with the mod, I would have enjoyed the game a lot more

FES, has The Answer which IS IMPORTANT to the overall narrative and themes. Having party control and adding gameplay features is nice in P3P but they make the gameplay piss easy if you care for difficulty. AI party members gave me zero trouble in the three times I played FES in the last 3 years, you just have to adjust them per the situation and understand how the AI works and after a bit you will be able to predict their moves and they can and will save your ass.

What if I want to make the game harder for myself and intentionally heal all the enemies every chance I get, dumbass? The option exists let people use it. It's just no longer an advantage for P3P.

I beat the game with AI members but they did retarded shit a lot of the time

I don't care what tactic I put them on it was always something stupid.

I would've been fine if they were able to update the translation at the very least and maybe have something on their site being the translated Tatsuya scenario, but due to the Playstation policies of course they can't change a "classic" title and they couldn't be damned to put in the work. I want an actual reason why the fuck they didn't do it, I am tired of waiting for that fan translation from the guy who barely ever releases an actual product.

Portable without a doubt, FES doesn't even have social links for the male party members

Too bad it plays like shit. It's literally just a grindfest with few cutscenes sprinkled inbetween. You're better off watching the cutscenes on YT.

I played P3P first then FES.

A friend of mine recommended me to use the control mod so I just went for it. No harm anyway.

That aside P3 is still significantly difficult compared to the rest of nusonas even with the ability to control your team

Junpei rejects you anyway so there's no point.

I am in the camp that feels it being a grind is a good utilization to show the struggle of the characters during their depression and feeling lost. But it also helped I enjoyed the gameplay in FES with tactics.

Play FES with the mod to control all party members. Play P3P in the future if you want to replay the game with the girl protagonist

You're right but coming from 5 then playing 3 I never expected to die so I set the difficulty to Hard in P3 and got spanked by the wild drive miniboss
