They turned an already good and iconic character into a great one. I absolutely love Aerith in Remake and it isn’t due to waifu shit (I’m a fag so I’m checking out Cloud’s bubble butt anyways). Great voice acting and the added sequences with her such as going after Marlene or watching the past version of herself at the Train Graveyard give her so much more to offer.

because what character? she has no character development anymore. she already knows everything that's going to happen. every single moment is rushed and insincere because she knows the future and is just going through the motions.
making her an omnipotent time travler like sephiroth ruined her character beyond belief. all the special moments in the original are a rushed fever dream in this so nomura can get that shit out of the way so he can bring in the ghosts and tell the faggy story he really wants.
