Its not so bad its good. Its just straight up shitty and only humorous to someone watching the game rather than playing it. The game itself is almost literally unplayable and is incredibly frustrating.

some people actually grew playing this game, or it got bashed so much it's getting the opposite view now out of contrarianism.
But besides that, some frustration coming out of Modern Sonic. New games lack the sheer ambition 06 carried as much as it failed horribly in the final product. It's the case of "remember when Sega put effort in Sonic? Yeah it didn't work but at least they were trying unlike nowadays"

What good is trying if you end up failing anyway? I'm sure a lot of surgeons who had their patients dying on them tried their hardest, but that doesn't mean much in the end. Might as well just praise something like SA2, which had a lot of effort put into it and actually succeeded.
