PC version of PSO2 exclusive to Microsoft Store

I use LTSC so I don't even have the Windows store.

Unless they're specifically tooling the release to only work on Windows Store I sincerely doubt it won't work on other Windows versions, worst-case the JP client gets modded to work as a US client

that article mentions crossplay, what about cross save? Can I just pay for a month of game pass ultimate right now, play and get the special ingame bonuses and items, then just transfer that over to the PC version?

Weird, considering that Microsoft is releasing everything on Steam, sounds more like an issue over the PC launcher or that people on Steam keeps complaining that they have create an Xbox Live account, even if its free to play on PC.

Pretty sure you have an account that's hosted server side and just access the account on whatever platform you choose.

Most likely both versions will use your MS account as your game log in.
