Ironically, the more effort they put into these and more elaborate and scripted them make them, the less funny they become.

I wish there were more games open to exploration in a way FarCry and Skyrim are but completely confined to a single facility like Black Mesa. An SCP game like that would be great. Secret Labs is okay as a proof of concept but it's multiplayer only (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but not what I had in mind for the game in question).

Why was Gordon, SO FUCKING GOOD?! Realistically can anybody do what he did in Black Mesa by having HEV protection? Killing platoons of highly trained marines, destroying tanks, APC's and gunship choppers on a whim.
