commandos 1rst level
I mean the difficulty curve is pretty inverted in the original Fallouts. It's tricky until you get the power armour then it's game over and you can just mindlessly stroll through to the end of the game.
was it barehanded? i recall having a spear in there
Fallout 1 gave you a gun at the start, shut the fuck up defending this shitty tutorial, it makes the player resort to cheesing and punishes them for specializing in anything but melee.
There is a spear in your inventory but that's it when it comes to the Temple.
>not rocking the bridgekeeper's robe
FO2 is one of my favourite games, I played it the same week it released. And I will fully admit that the temple isn't very fun, especially not for a character built around speech or small guns.
Everyone can agree that the temple is shitty. Was there ever a mod to let you skip it?
>game gets easier after you get the end-game stuff
damn Einstein got any more wisdom to share with us?
you can just run past those cunts, you don't have to explore everything
>Speech
>Steal
Even without any points in melee you can beat the shit out of the guy, but the temple is still shit.
>mods for fallout 1/2
Didn't really start becoming mainstream until a decade later. I used to spend a lot of time on No Mutants Allowed and the changes that was made were incredibly small and gradual. And now there's total modifications for Fallout 2, it's crazy.
I also spent a lot of time on the Arcanum fan forums following different mods, and to this day I don't know which was more autistic, NMA or Terra-Arcanum.
>have AG of at least 2
>this means you have at least 6 AP
>can punch an enemy then run 3 tiles away
>the shitty temple enemies literally can't attack after moving 3 tiles
>clear out the whole temple without taking damage easily
wow soooo hard.
The only reason anyone ever has difficulty with the temple is that they're too retarded to consider any tactic other than running right up to the enemies and pummeling them until one of you dies, completely negating the main advantage you have over them, mobility.
that interface is a fucking player filter
Pretty much
>What are hotkeys?
Tbh the original fallouts sucked
> And now there's total modifications for Fallout 2, it's crazy.
what's a good fallout 2 mod that isn't RP
Yeah it would be better if they made the power armor harder to get or make you have to collect parts to make it like in Fallout Sonora
>isn't RP
The UI overhaul for one.
>oh, you were having fun?
>well here's two silver knights at the same time, then
>sorry we let it get too fun
>it's a 'random raider crits you with a 300dmg smg burst' episode
Miria Mod.
If you are a zoomer or just have a smaller attention spam I unironically think you should play OG fallouts with cheat engine / enable speedhack to make the game run 50-100% faster.
There's Fallout Nevada and 1.5 Resurrection if you want a TC mod.
>It's a Marcus crits you with his minigun episode.
Still need the xp though, its kind of counter-intuitive, especially because the nearest gun you can get at this stage is all the way where the Rat God is
Yes, instead of scaling everything to your level, you get to feel powerful and accomplished after somehow stumbling your way through the start of the game with your life intact
>Name a more effective casual filter
>*bursts you dead with friendly fire*
heh
nothing personal vault dweller
Smacking a bitch ass in bed punishes her for future mess up and she knows, the more yo smack that ass the more she'll behave
I don't know this feel as I'm almost always running long range sniper builds so I'm always behind that spraying retard IF I even take him.
How much XP did they even give? I remember skipping them and the rest of the game wasn't too hard. In the early game you have companions to help you even if your character is lackluster.
Yeah, they should just tone down power armor and give it to you at the start of the game.
Would be much better that way and would in no way diminish the sense of accomplishment you get from receiving what was previously the most rare and powerful armor in existence.
