Why do so many of these European modders add armor pieces and assets from random games whose art design and graphical fidelity don't match Gothic's at all?

Because they are lazy. The retards who made returning and requiem also took assets from pol and russia gothic mods as well and they have original contents. Most of the gothic mods never got translated because they don't bother with westerns.
