What went wrong?
What went right?
What went wrong?
Its a scam. Everyone knows this. Even those who bought into it. But don't want to admit they were wrong. Many such cases. SAD.
>Its a scam.
how so?
Yes its a scam, this board is filled with the same spam over and over
Everything went right. It's going to be the first AAAA game in existence.
>what went right
awesome concept and what they've implemented so far is actually really fucking cool. If the game was out right now I'd buy it
>what went wrong
feature creep
This. Same with the Nintendo Switch. Not sure why people buy into all these scams.
I kinda wish all that money went into a loli dating simulator instead.
>What went right?
Unbridled dreams.
>What went wrong?
>Dev wants to micro-manage everything
>not a problem for an indie game right?
>Project gets huuuuuuuuge.
>He can't be everywhere at once and won't delegate.
>Employees are either sitting around waiting for detailed instructions or re-doing shit for the fifth time because they made their best guess and they couldn't read his mind.
>
The game is completely sincere. It's just a complete money bonfire.
Nothing. Everything was right. Everything was correct.
nifty tech demo
just managed by utter retards who can't implement game play supported by it
>orbital station just sits stationary in space
Ummm, they are gonna fix it, right??
>what is a geosynchronous satellite
fucking dumbass
>stationary
in relation to what? these things are relative
That looks like super low orbit.
>What went wrong?
nothing
What went right?
nothing
especially since the amount of money Ive given is nothing
>They pay really detail the game to flesh things out.
>They forgot to build the fucking skeleton first.
Play Elite Dangerous, boots on ground is currently in the making.
wrong:
focus on simulating random chores rather than deciding on a fun activity and encouraging players to do it
right:
cool spaceships
How do I get into ED? I've played shitload of X games, but this shit is confusing since you can't even do much.
This. Fucking simfaggots wanting everything to be REAL instead of fun. Game is for the kind of dipshits who play Forklift Simulator in their custom $3,000 forklift cockpit made from an actual forklift they found at the dump.
>get into ED
Just don't. Frontier is retarded and keeps adding more grind to the game. It's fun to fly around for a bit until you realize that unless you exploit double hotspot mining you're going to be poor forever.
No, movement isn't relative. But from the surface of a planet you'd see a station move quite fast. See the videos of MIR passing in front of the moon.
>Game is for the kind of dipshits who play Forklift Simulator in their custom $3,000 forklift cockpit made from an actual forklift
That's actually fucking based. FUCK casual niggers who don't invest at least 1000 usd into their HOTAS and pedals and VR headset.
>simulating random chores
What kind of chores do they have you do in it? I'm a weird fuck that likes mining in games like EVE and EliteDangerous. Never bothered buying Star Citizen because I've been waiting for it to come out first.
It's probably why I'm looking forward to Starbase despite how ambitious it sounds.
Hey now, I played a whole game on Nintendo Switch. It delivered.
>what went wrong?
engine choice, lack of experience making MMOs, style of game (dogfighting ships) doesn't sit well with online
>what went right?
the graphics are good
FINISH THE FUCKING GAME.
I've seen videos of this game and there seems to be some pretty cool stuff like being able to jump out of your ship at any time and move around in zero gravity in the vaccum of space, and the absolute scale of things like planets and space stations. It looks very promising but I also know that it's very buggy. I'm really hoping that it isn't a scam and that it will eventually reach a full release with the promised features in, and the kinks ironed out. Anyone else cautiously optimistic?
Waiting at the train station until the train gets there was the most ridiculous example
Its literally a scam and fucking retards are giving them money, its actually hilarious
People play star citizen, too. Just because you play a game and enjoy it doesn't mean it isn't a scam.
Why release a game when you can make more money by not releasing a game?
Can people even buy ships for in game money yet?
>wrong
Where is gaem?
>right
At least I have a lot of spaceship art for my space opera campaign.
What is the actual state of the game?
I bought the $45 thing like 10 years ago or whatever but never actually downloaded any of the tech demos
>future with tfl tech
>What went right?
Scamming idiots for their money.
ED mining has actually had a fair bit of gameplay to it ever since the last overhaul
>45 bucks for 1k in game cash
>ships cost 1~15mil
>get deleted when patch hits
Eating, shitting, serving time in prison, and manually moving all the crates for your cargo.
What happend to the /scg/ thread on /vg/?
>$3000
Cmon user. Forklift would cost much more than that no matter how used or beat up. Unless your just spending money on the prong
All the space game generals are dead along with the giant robot general.
