Is playstation trying to accomplish that space age aesthetic again like they did with the PS1?
My Dualshock 4 battery lasts 7-8 hours.
You must be an outlier then because there are hundreds of articles and videos about how terrible the battery life is. It's the one thing MS did right with theirs is letting you use your own batteries.
>letting you use your own batteries
Mine also lasts 7-8 hours, with the light set to its dimmest setting, but I consider that pretty poor.
By far the best battery in any controller I've ever had is the Wii U Pro. It reliably lasts EIGHTY (80) hours.
Are the next episodes of the FF7 remake gonna be timed exclusive here? That would make me buy it.
Same
Which is still terrible, it should be at least 30 hours.
30 hours was dualshock 3
So far I've never played more than 6 hours straight though.
after a few years of wireless bullshit i switched to wired to dodge this battery bullshit
100% recommended
Neither do I because I don't have time but having to change controller every other time is annoying. And now with Corona pandemic and not having to go to work I pretty much play all day and have to charge controller even 2 times a day sometimes.
>It's the one thing MS did right with theirs is letting you use your own batteries.
Even using the Microsoft rechargable battery, which costs extra for the standard controller, it lasts several times longer than the PS4 controller.
Does the glowing LED really sap that much extra power?
Either that or the touchpad, which you wouldn't think would use that much.
It has happened to me plenty of times that I have to stop playing just to charge the controller. I take it as a brake and do other stuff but still, it doesn't happen with other platforms.
>Does the glowing LED really sap that much extra power?
Yes, people have proven that if you disconnect the light bar you get significantly better battery life.
Doubt a track pad is draining battery
imagine being batterykek in the current year
I wish they would have added the back buttons from the start.
Why is everyone saying then instead of than?
Is it something that i miss? A meme or something?
Can you recommend a wired pad for me?
I chew through micro usb cables fast as fuck and it's expensive to replace them so often.
Two biggest problems with PS4 are garbage controller battery and slow downloads. I hope Sony fix this issues with PS5.
I forgot about the downloads, I think it happens with Microsoft too, Steam doesn't get enough credit for how much they invest in infrastructure, and the cloud saves are free.
I've never had a Steam game download at more than 13mbps.
>On gigabit speed internet and computer is lan cabled
Heheh 'Batteries'
I get 150 mbps on Steam and only about 60-70 mbps on PS4. I have tried literally everything I found online but nothing helped and I'm only getting like half of my internet speed on PS4 not even half. I download 30 GB on PS4 in about 45 minutes and on Steam i download 30 GBs in 17 minutes.
>Doubt a track pad is draining battery
it is actually, cause it's always on (even when not used by the game) and it's n°1 battery problem along with vibration and the speaker
>add more leds
>add more rumble
>add more gargabe nobody cares
no, it's gonna be another trainwreck like the dual shit 4
Why do you even game on PS4, sold it and game on PC exclusively. You have solved all your problems, battery life, internet speed etc.
Is this some ISP fuckery, I get full speed on ethernet, wifi sucks hard dick.
>destroying the environment by using aa batteries
>needing to pay to use your controller
Probably less, their excuse will be TYPE C CHARGES FAST SO IT DOESNT MATTER
Just use the same battery the switch pro uses if they can afford it.
I have older PC and I'm playing older games on it I don't know how to built a new PC that is first reason and second is that PS4 gets game first and long before PC. I am playing VII Remake now on PS4 and I can't play it on PC. I finished HZD, GoW years ago but PC players are only now getting them. I couldn't wait that long for those games.
USB-C was designed to work with 2000+ mAh batteries
this controller looks like a shittier wii u pro controller and that had 80 hours of battery life
No I'll be getting an actually good controller
>2020
>Not owning rechargeable batteries
