This is a shallow, but somewhat true observation that misses the mark. Conservatism increases as we age for a variety of reasons. First and most prominently is the way our brains learn, we learn to do something one way and our brains lock that in, and overwriting it can be extremely difficult. Cognitive dissonance can even make it PHYSICALLY PAINFUL to change your mind about something.

Additionally, people have traditionally become more conservative because they have more, and have more to lose, and have a greater stake in the state of matters as-they-are. How this relates to wealth is - if you have nothing, and gain nothing, there is less reason for you to be conservative. Tie this to the general decrease in the uptick in personal wealth correlated to production (more people aren't making more money to coincide with the increase in wealth, overall) and it stands to reason that a less successful generation will have less incentive to be and therefore less inclination to be conservative.

Anyway to answer your fucking question, yeah - I used to be able to bury myself in JRPG's for hours on end, now my autism has shifted focus to 4x games. I also have less time over all to play, and will often feel too tired to get involved in games, so i'm choosier about what I play when.

No, not really. I kind of stopped gaming after comeptitive CS died in 2010.. and now I'm back playing Valorant. I literally just play Diablo 2 and CS still, even at 27.

Not really. I keep coming back to the things I like. City Builders and 4x games. The thing that changed is I'm playing increasingly more complex games.

Only by necessity. I grew up loving adventure games but those were dead before I was even 20. I really enjoyed the phase of non-Nintendo platformers like the first R&C and Jak. Those died. I liked open world games a lot until they got too bloated. So on and so forth.

But I like a good shooter now as much as when I first played Doom or Unreal. I like RPGs better now with more action oriented gameplay. I liked JRPGs until they got stagnant and started using sparks everywhere as an excuse to not have a story.

The one real change is I don't like any MP anymore but I blame that on the focus shifting heavily. And that applies to shooters, MMOs and even strategy games. I haven't liked one since probably 2006 or so.

I had a lot more patience for JRPGs as a kid, as my reflexs got better and I grew more to care about exploration and playing at faster pace.

Conservative can mean a lot of things. In the context of "Conservative" as a political label for the right, yes you are correct. It should be note the people who "set the rule" for becoming conservative as you aged were the fucking Boomers, who had their fling with drugs and liberalism and then quickly turned to other things as they got older. In a nutshell, the more comfortable you are in life the more liberal you tend to be. The less comfortable in life you are the more conservative you are.
