same here brother

Not even gonna ask for a remake because they'll just fuck that up despite the Switch being a top tier 7th gen level console.

1/3 of the region is quite literally water.

Hoenn already had a remake. It was shit like all 3DS Pokémon games.

There was a remake bro

Too much water

>Too much water
S O I

At least it was until the 3DS version fucked everything up

Aside from Petalburg woods and the meteor falls, it's amazing that you could almost travel the entirety of the map without a single loading screen

Really? I swear there was something blocking you from Pacifilog town but it's been so long since I played it.

This. I refuse to believe ORAS was a Hoenn remake and I'm not even a hoennfag.

Oh boy I get to fight another swimmer I wonder what pokemon he has. What a surprise it's another tentacool/wingull/wailmer.

gen 2 had better aesthetics

Attached: 1584417485013.png (820x1184, 63.5K)

>Gen 1
An exciting new series with infinite potential launches and captivates an entire generation.
>Gen 2
A soulstorm that improves from the originals in every aspect, blending elements from all successful media (Anime, card games, manga etc.) to create a refined aesthetic that encapcilates everything pokemon was, while improving gameplay mechanics and adding more depth to story.
>Gen 3
Still soulful, taking advantage of the GBA's hardware to create a new aesthetic while remaining true to what came before, and further improving the gameplay and generally getting even more ambitious with the story, with a slightly more story driven main character (with some implied character motivation from his father's role), an implied love interest, and a genuine character arc for Wally, and lore based legendaries woven into the story.
>Gen 4
A massive step back, game runs extremely slowly compared to previous gens losing much of the flow of the originals, and the story is overtly "kiddy" while ripping of the lore based plot from the previous generation. Aesthetic doesn't evolve, and designs feel less original compared to previous gens.
>Gen 5
A sudden burst of creativity and soul. Beautiful sprite work, an entire region of brand new Pokemon before giving the player any classic pokemon, to date the most ambitious story in a pokemon game making the player a legendary hero of lore destined to face his rival, and a team based around one of the series most asked philosophical questions. Without question a contender for best in the series.

>Gen 4 and onwards
Straight up wrong. At gen 3 even...

I guess I found my next Minecraft project

>Gen 4
>a massive step back
>Gen 5
>a sudden burst of creativity and soul
Every single time with you Gen 5 fags.

my recollection is that the tide makes it impossible (until an unlock, at least?) to swim from Slateport to Pacifilog town. you have to go the long way round.

Please die, you autismo fuck. Minecraft players are the scum of the earth.

>couldn't bring my pokemon from gen 2
>they're all gone when the watch battery in my cartage died

OP is a magikarp?

Magikarp can't surf

the b/w sprites look like shit and looked like shit on launch, take a look at them again, they're choppy as fuck
many of the new pokemon are just rip offs of gen 1 mons but with a different type to make it "new"
the "story" was bland as fuck and started the excess amount of story cutscenes that the games are plagued with ten years later, why should games that are about a kid going on an adventure involve world ending stakes every single time? i know r/s/e started this but it was stale in d/p/pt but for some reason hasn't gone away
i'll give b/w2 credit for being a good game and improving the sprites but b/w were trash and are the main reason pokemon games are in such a pathetic state these days

Not sure how I feel about that 3-5 ranking. Gamefreak aren't that great at writing stories first off. 3's story is pretty bland. 4's story isn't great either but kiddy definitely isn't the right word to describe it considering the darker tones as we got closer to the end of the Galactic storyline. 5 is ambitious sure but this wasn't the right gen to have a generic world domination motivation for Ghetsis and if walking pokemon wasn't dropped N's character wouldn't have suffered from hypocrisy since he uses pokeballs anyway despite what he preaches.
