With Stability I can literally out distance everything and do insane damage. It's hard to use any other weapon because the spear rapes so hard.

Exact same case, I used Spearfall almost the whole time simply because I remembered it being crazy good in 1, didn't give Piercing Rain a chance.
But the instant I did, holy shit. Spearfall is still better for humans but Piercing Rain just deletes yokai

I use triple threat to delete humans now, with stability they have no chance of getting close. I was using low stance for my whole ng playthrough for spear. Now I am in high stance all the time except for when I need the extra mobility low stance gives me.
