And they chose to invent option E: remake the game while doing their own story with total disregard for the original's intent, while also saying that the original happened in another timeline or some shit so they can actively erase the achievements of the original as much as possible.

Make no mistake, this is one of the biggest and most significant retcons in... anything, really. Saying it's not a retcon is a bullshit technicality, implying that retcons can't occur if it's in-universe. This is retarded logic. A retcon changes something fundamental and sacred about a story, it doesn't matter whether the writers tack on some filler to try and explain it away. The damage is done.

honestly the twist at the end and the time jannies got me actually excited for the next part, i'm so sick of movies and games getting soulless remakes and remasters, i'm happy to see something go off in a completely crazy new direction, its trying something different

After FF XIII I gave up on this retard's storytelling. He always has to do some stupid shit that makes the story so unrealistic that it kills the whole game.

The thing is I was never that invested in the original game and didn't play in until like 2010. I'd probably like the new games better. Im not a big fan of 3 retards in a line games.

I gotta say, I liked "one winged angel" as a concept because when you finally see Safer Sephiroth it sort of fits but it looks somehow grotesque and angelic at the same time. Him LITERALLY having a giant angel wing coming out of his black (but, like, it's black, because he's like, a DARK angel, because he's EVIL and stuff) is so fucking gay. Kingdom Hearts faggotry is ruining FF
