Don't know if it counts as an influencer, but I like Ahoy a lot. He's the one essayist I enjoy, his scripts are always great, does a lot of research to goes well beyond simple wiki reads and his editing is topnotch, not to mention he has a proper voice for the job, unlike most other channels ran by amateurs with whiny voices who think narrations are all about forcing vocal fry every single time you end a sentence.

To be fair all I've seen from him is some of his death stranding video and a couple of those best games of the year videos but I couldn't stand much more. I can't hate the guy too much though because he's translating Moon Remix RPG so it can finally get released over here. I just hope it gets released sometime this year and doesn't stay a switch exclusive.
