It's a shame that Pyra/Mythra returning lowkey fucked up the ending for me. It should have ended the same as usual, except everyone stares at Pneuma's core glowing, as if it's about to awaken as the credits roll. Still, solid game.

Hopefully XB3 is a proper sequel, even if it's not a direct one, in a sense that there's a new cast entirely, and the story preferably takes place long enough for Earth to be revamped into a new setting entirely to explore. Who knows, though. It could very much be on another universe again.

I'm glad Takahashi thought it through, chose not to follow the lead of others and gave us the ending that he did.

Reviewers have deadlines to meet, they rush through the mainline plot, barely touch sidecontent enough to have a few seconds of footage to say "it's there too if you want it" and mash through all dialogues. Rule of thumb you should always double reviewers' estimate playtime of any game with a substantial amount of sidecontent.
