Why would you play a game more than once? You already experienced over 90% of what it has to offer, the remaining 10% are probably not worth it compared to experiencing over 90% of another games content.

Who the fuck cares?

same reason some people read a book twice

hurf durf feggitz git off mai vidya

This is the videogames board isn't it?

Why do you play sports more than once? Why do you listen to a song more than once? Why do you eat a certain kind of food more than once? Why do you do a lot of shit more than once?

The answer to all of those is because I can't afford to do otherwise. If it was in my power I WOULD eat a new meal every at until I ran out of good meals. Same with music.
I can do that with video games because there's a lot of them and they take a long time to beat. An album only takes an hour.

that reason being?

Experience again what they felt the first time. Catch something they missed the first time. For better understanding.

this only makes sense if you have some kind of memory loss related affliction

lmao itd make sense if you were reading on a bus or something but with video games you're always in the comfort of your own room with minimal diatractions

>this only makes sense if you have some kind of memory loss related affliction
when learning a skill, why practice multiple times? does practice only make sense to you if the person practicing has an injured hippocampus?

Depends on the game.
A cheap game like AC where "replayability" is redoing the same thing over and over in a grind? No.

Deus Ex where I'm allowed basically free reign over the level? I replay that every year.

Experiencing a fictional story is not the same as building muscle memory

GAMEFLY IS THAT YOU?

HOLD ON I ONLY PLAY GAMES WITH A GAMEFAQS FAQ OPEN BECAUSE THAT US HOW REAL GAMERS LIKE MYSELF PLAY GAMES.

Isn't it? Memory isnt perfect; things will slip through the cracks on first readings, so subsequent ones will help readers catch things that they failed to initially.

based, you defeated the shitposter through pure INT and CHA, reminds me of the Arcanum ending.

Even within a game itself you are already repeating actions easily thousands of time. Why do you do this you think?

>Nihilistic anti-life nonsense

OP I think you should kill yourself. Clearly you are unhappy with the very living of life itself.

Because with some games there is not and will probably never be another one that's similar to it. So you can't just easily substitute it with some other game instead. After enough time passes I just want to play that particular type of game again

memory isn't perfect but it should be pretty good in the 10 or so years period.
So I can see whyd you replay a game afrtt 10 yearsiguess

because its fun
because you're playing on higher settings/graphics
because it passes the time before your inevitable death

>the remaining 10% are probably not worth it compared to experiencing over 90% of another games content
Most games are shit, so 10% of a game I love is probably better than 90% of a new game I've never played before. The same applies to movies and books

>Why would you watch a movie more than once? You already experienced over 100% of what it has to offer, the remaining 0% are probably not worth it compared to experiencing over 100% of another movies content.
see how retarded this is? this isn't how entertainment works, you expierencing something already doesn't dimminish it's value of entertainment. if you liked or enjoyed something you can enjoy it again. no one would think like this for any other form of entertainment. I feel like some gamers are more intrested in completing as much games as possible than just enjoying them individually.

Never in my life have I read the same thing twice. Who the fuck wastes their time like that? Boomers?

>The games OP plays don't have secret bonus levels or hidden content or New Game+

Because there is no other game. Sekiro, FURI, MGR, and NGB have all been played through multiple times just because its only this type of reaction based action game that offers what i want.

But you would need a higher DEX stat to dodge that cringe instead

Why do players keep doing platformers like Sonic or Mario repeatedly when it's literally the same game every time? Or play Pokemon where it's very repetitive actions to hunt for pocket monsters, train them and fight them?

This, Mass Effect 1, the atmosphere, the combat, totally different tone from everything else even its sequels

better not catch you replaying any song ever in this era of having all of this music on demand with the power of the internet. you must choose to listen to every song exactly once for now on.

maybe you aren't a big music guy but for most people this is a very unreasonable thing to do. people repeat songs they love all the time.

is your goal in life ultimately to find the greatest number of expierences and not to find expierences you could cherish?

So what's the conclusion, is OP just shitposting for (you)'s or is he autistic and being genuine in his statements?

>Furi

You cant miss part of the content of a book or movie like you can a game

kek

Wanting to do the same thing over an over again IS a sign of autism

Maybe not in the same ways, like if a game has multiple endings, but you can definitely miss a lot

What if you cherish finding new experiences above everything else huh?

there is substantially less music length-wise than videogames that cater to my taste. there are also fewer places to discover new music. I do however try not to listen to the same tracks within a period of a year or so

what kind of psychopath never touches a game again after beating it, especially if they liked it

what's stopping it from being fun the 2nd time around

This but unironically

that 10 percent costs zero dollars extra nigga
