It’s when it’s put into a relaxed, resting position
Like a person on a couch

A lance worse than a swing polearm.

>Received couched lance damage.

couch is a verb retarded esl poster

The act of bracing the lance under the elbow with the forearm against the side is couching. The momentum of the horse drives the end of the lance into the opponent. In reality, this method led to the lance snapping, and many were designed to break easily in order to minimize the amount of energy lost by the snap.
In Warband/Bannerlord, it's a mode you can activate at high enough speeds that bypasses blocks and typically deals 4x damage from base before speed bonus, usually enough to shatter shields.

Fuck that shit, 2 handed axe/cleaver ftw, btw where the fuck can i find a falx do i have to vising tree niggers lands ?

Isn't true that a lot of times in battle, knights would have to go back and retrieve a new lance?

True, I use this as well. I think falx is up there and Mountain Blade.

A lot of times the knight's retainers would have lances ready between charges, but it was hardly the only weapon they had at their disposal, so it was situational.

Why is it that when I use a couched lance in Bannerlord it seems like even shitty looters have more reach than my lance?

why doesn't the bannerlord skill thing work i own kranirog castle and have 2 tiny villages

What are the best arrows available? The best I've found are Stacked Bodkins

I found piercing arrows that give +4 pierce, but that was in a 7000+ prosperity town with a smithy

Is the executioner's axe the best cleave weapon out there? I notice that my one-handed/two-handed war razor isnt taking out more than one looter per swing, very disappointing.

I prefer stacked bodkin just because there's more arrows.

This.

Thwip

yeah i saw these, the stack amount really put me off

Nah bro that noble lance with the charge bonus does like 210 damage

why not both?

Because cleave is better than high damage on a single target.

>15 cut
Why even bother

Moron. Couching a lance means you let it rest in your arm while you charge. It was a technique horsemen used. Instead of ramming the spear into someone, you rode past the person and let your spear collide with them.

Slit your wrists.

>Isn't true that a lot of times in battle, knights would have to go back and retrieve a new lance?

Fuckwit. You're describing wooden jousting lances that were made of soft wood, had blunted ends and intended to splinter. In actual battle, they used heavy metal-reinforced lances with steel heads.

Hang yourself.

That damage is multiplied when on a horse because of the speed.

Southern Imperials: simps
Western Imperials: wimps

>thy

It's thou, you fucking dunce. "Thy" is a possessive pronoun.

>and many were designed to break easily in order to minimize the amount of energy lost by the snap.
What, that sounds wrong, the breaking ones are made to reduce the amount of energy delivered so that you dont kill people in while jousting. If you want a to kill someone you get a lance that is as hard and heavy as you can handle.

Because your computer sucks. It works fine for me.

Ye olde autism

what do the highlevel bows look like? I don't want to go full woodnigger but then have to use a faggy steppenigger bow

Jousting lances broke nearer to the tip. It was the compromise they made in order to reduce the risk of harm during jousting. Still had some ill-effects, just ask Henry VIII.

Not entirely related but it should give you the basics.

If you use the mod that adds all the ranged weapons back into towns you can find some sweet endgame longbows and crossbows.

Couching used to be so good in warband, here it feels like it's not worth it.

I think there's something wrong with the hitboxes on longer lances. Anything longer than 200 has me wiffing past enemies that I would hit every time with a lance 200 or slightly shorter.

You need to calm down, schizo. He asked a simple question. Were you born knowing all the things you know? You weren't. Someone had to tell you or someone wrote something that told you, fuckwit. Elevate your fellow man--don't be a pompous faggot.

You get 1hit kills, how can it be better?

How do I kill off the 40 recruits in my wife's army?

You can still lose battle lances in a charge. Or drop them yourself after the charge to draw your sidearm.

Source?
Oh wait, you're just a raging autist who doesn't know anything. Aren't you the same guy who insisted they don't use fur in the desert?

I feel like I get one shot way too much charging into infantry.

Are you charging by yourself? Are you aiming your lance with first person mode?

Infantry is a lot better with polearms and javelins now so you have be more choosy about where you charge. Your horse isn't made of steel anymore either.

Warband conversion when?

I can't wait till we get muskets modded in. One of my favorite mods for Warband was Sayazn. I wonder if he's still alive.

You want a mod that gives you warband in bannerlord engine?

You put it right next to the sofa king
