If this game didn't exist Sakurai would have had YEARS worth of free time to work on Smash 4.

They should make Smash Bros like a fighting game and actually save the genre, it's the only franchise i can think of that can actually popularize the genre again.

Smash itself doesn't need saving, what needs saving is the fighting game genre, imagine how cool would be smash with combos like fighting games or EX moves of normal attacks that need a technical input.
It would be a great entry to fighting game begginners while also familarizing people to the genre so they can translate their skill to other games, as it is now skill in smash doesn't translate very well into other fighting games.
