gameplay? story? soundtrack?
its all trash

Kojima is a moron still for what he did to her - he wasn't satisfied with killing her once, but thrice on top of torture
Screw his games

I thought it was fantastic. I feel like those who were disappointed, angry, or surprised at what the game turned out to be were just pretending to know who Kojima was. The only beef I have is with the Amelie/Bridget stuff. She was pretty objectively shit and it felt like Kojima made her the centerpiece just because he wanted to watch the cliff of Youthinized Bionic Woman saying "I love you" again and again, Nathan For You style.

glad I saved my money watching a playthrough and skipping through the boring walking sections

>I feel like those who were disappointed, angry, or surprised at what the game turned out to be were just pretending to know who Kojima was
The Naughty Dog Games experience isn't for everyone. I wanted a game that excelled in gameplay, especially since Kojima and the Horizon Zero Dawn developers were working on it. In the end, it was barely an actual game and just Point A to Point B.

It's coming to PC this summer so I'll let you know if it was """good"""

90% of the thime it's the comfiest game of the last two decades.
>walking down a green mountain slope
>mist in the air
>radiohead clone song starts playing

they really do sound so much like radiohead its unreal youtu.be/kv3rKRoRtd4 I definitely dont mind though

great game but not for everybody. It's shit if you play it while streaming or watch a stream, so no surprise yt faggots thought it was bad.
On Yas Forums it's 90% shitposters as usual.

The game is legit amazing, one of the most complete games i've played in recent memory. Everything is where it was needed, with the amount of depth they wanted. There's no game like it and in an age where tripleA are afraid of even so slightly do anything that won't appeal to the lowest common denominator that's refreshing.
To me it's the only game that really made me feel like i was actually hiking.

cause walking is the gameplay, it's all about planning meticulously what equipment to bring with you and what's the easiest route. The online features give this weird sense of collaboration.
If you call it a movie game then you didn't even understood what you were playing in the first place.

I think the ride leading towards it was good. Kojima drama with Konami, he gets picked up by Sony like some elite game director for hire, like he's the Big Boss of the vidya industry. Then he swindles fucktons of money from Sony, is gifted a game engine by people that believe in him, and tours the world like some celebrity hiding his mysterious new project. Then slowly the details surface. More and more celebrities are involved, the game is less of what we expected and the story makes more sense now after the mystery is gone. Then the big one: gameplay reveal, what Kojima was hiding all along. You walk, the game is all delivery quests. The combat is like something already built in to the engine. The map is huge and empty.

The chaos afterwards was amazing. The "Princess beach" scene. Oh man, what a fucking ride. Kojima is a fantastic con artist. I really respect how he bullshit his way into stardom in the video game industry. He is so blinded by his own pretentious shit that he probably believes he's an honest game director. It' a beautiful clusterfuck of fraudulence.

>t.didn't play the game and just read Yas Forums shitpost

gonna find out when it gets released on steam
still tightly guarding my spoiler virginity

no lol

2 months to go

Abandon thread now.

Ok, I'm abandoning and hiding this thread before catching spoilers

9/10 graphics, 6/10 gameplay, BABY/10 story

I really liked it, got the plat, didn't understand everything at the end, though, I should read some theories. It's a very unique game and it's not for everyone so people should read about it before buying it.

Wish the photo mode would have been made when I played it

Creating a spider web of zip lines was so satisfying, so that's a yes from me.

Ask anything and I will explain it to you

I definitely think it's more of a game than the Last of Us. I never felt that the game was wasting my time with "walking cutscenes" when a normal cutscene would do. Point A to Point B is the gameplay, and makes it clear how cartoonish video game walking actually is. It's classic Kojima being Kojima: questioning that relationship between the players and the mechanics.
Dead-on. If someone describes the game and you think "that sounds fun" or "I need to see what that's all about", then you'll like it. If you go in thinking "Sounds gay, but it's Kojima, so I gotta get it", then yeah, you're gonna get mad.

The villains were amazing. Cliff and Higgs reminded me of falling in love with Liquid Snake, Solidus, and the Boss. I'm glad Kojima recovered from using lame-asses like Hot-Coldman and Skull Face. Higgs especially was super refreshing. Baker really sold the whole "he's evil and he fucking loves it" thing. Was refreshing to see a genuine bad guy in a game again.

yes
ignore story, acquire newfound delivery addiction

I'm about halfway through, it's great but I can see the flaws here and there. People can't seem to get over the fact that it's not a combat-heavy game, and equate lack of combat with lack of gameplay, but all the mechanics are surprisingly deep and I genuinely enjoy hiking through long stretches of countryside and carefully navigating around dangerous terrain or stealthing around enemies.

The deliveries don't even take that long, maybe 10-15 minutes at the very longest, and some people are drumming the game up as the longest most tedious thing ever. Just don't do every single sidequest and pick up every single dropped package and it's a breeze.

ok
what the fuck It's the matter with Lou? the baby It's Sam from the past but Sam is in the present with him too? where does adult Sam come from then? why do they exist at the same time?

Also I don't really get why Sams leaves at the end when everything, EVERYTHING about the game is about making relationships with people an being together, he had found a plae to be and friends to live with. Not sure is this is just bad writing

SAM
IS NOT
LOU
FOR
THOUSANDTH
TIME
You hook up to Lou and think its his memories, the twist is they are yours. Completely separate human beings. Sam leaves because everything around him dies, safe to assume he propably remains in contact with his friends after Lou was revived.

troy baker as troy baker was fucking cancer holy shit

Sam is B.B, bro, not lou. There are two bridges babies, one in the past is B.B who grrew up to be Sam, and the one in the present is Lous who somehow channels Sam's memories from when he was a Bridges Baby.

Agrees, everyone else was fine (except Leia Seydoux who's acting was flat as a board but she at least looked like she fit in the game) but as soon as Troy Baker's face showed up it was laughable that I should take him seriously as the fucking villain of the story. They should have got someone like Willam Defoe or some shit, an actor with character rather than discount Nathan Drake.

>Go down a 2 foot drop
>Baby starts crying
>Pause, check cargo and the package just took 20% damage
>AND I KEEP COMIN'

>Higgs especially was super refreshing
Fucking this, finally a villain who isnt deeply misunderstood or has some super complex motive for doing bad shit. He just does it and enjoys it because it feels great, love how creative he gets with fucking everyone over. Guy literally lives next to the city he blew up and makes you deliver him pizza.

The ultimate plebfilter. Game is about 8/10 really though. Mads stole the show, while that French girl nearly tanked every scene she was in.

Attached: Mads.png (797x797, 526.9K)

Oooooh shit, I thought it was 1 baby, ok, now I get it. Amelie was a being that existed on two places at once so I thought it could be something similar

btw, I thought at the end you would stop the timefall and ghosts and we would see a scene of PEOPLE leaving the bunkers and seeing the sky, but no, you can't do anything, the world is still fucked, sad, but fits the themes of the plot, its very beautiful

You did stop it though, the world is still broken but on its way to recovery. The beach is closed and Death Stranding is over.

Attached: 1584824896273.jpg (943x675, 56.78K)

but user

the point of Higgs is that he thinks he's this fucking great supervillain and It's not, It's just a sad little man

Attached: Higgs_headshot.jpg (531x559, 76.15K)

It was ok, wish I bought it for 30€ instead of 60€

Yes. I really want a sequel, man.

Killed a terrorist for the first time tonight, it was getting hectic so I got out of the camp and continued playing, should I go back for the corpse and incinerate it or can I leave it be?
Kind of getting mixed info reading about it, don't want to reload later due to game over or whatever, is it true?

you did? I thought just Sam and the baby (which I thought it was the same person until now) did became immune for some reason

Honestley I am torn on Higgs. The idea that he thinks he is some supreme god well being a pizza obsessed weeb who has a crush on an amazon deliverer is top tier shit. But I am not sure the writing in this game is smart enough to imply that, it feels like that is just a fan theory people made up and the game wants you to truly believe Higgs is some 100k IQ badass.
