if you just play the game you get a shitload of rolls for free, if they keep the current system into OBT and release then it's probably one of the most f2p mobile gacha games I've seen. if they don't then I'll reconsider playing, but given how dry the market is right now I'll probably still end up playing and just use the characters you get for free at game start, then roll whenever I can to get more if I can. based on what I saw, you can clear the game with the free characters and weapons/gear if you aren't a shitter, anyway, though you probably can't clear the super endgame stuff until you get better shit.

Just boot up fucking honkai impact, it's their current game. You have stamina which limits what you can do, daily events, busy work to earn premium currency, gacha character unlocks, gacha gear unlocks and to kill most high level shit to get more premium currency basically requires you to either luck out and roll something good or to pay fucking money.

I'll save my rolls until both +chance ones are ones I want, like I think CBT2 had barbara+klee at one point, I'd drop a ton of rolls on that since I'll eventually want both of them at full constellation anyway. with Klee the 3rd party slot is gonna be MC anyway until a decent long distance wind spammer pops up anyway, klee with a wind suction character as a secondary is the strongest dps in the game by far currently.

Originally was assumed to launch at Spring 2020, but after participating in the second CBT, I can see why they moved the date to be near the end of 2020 instead.
So right now no concrete date other than this year, or maybe very early of next year.
