Because it was shit all over by the media and fans alike for looking to be nothing more than an RE attempt to ape the success the DbD when it was announced, killing any real momentum and hype the game could have had from the onset. As far as Capcom's higher ups are concerned, they recouped their loss and made RE3R a more valuable purchase doing it the way they did by combining two products into one, as opposed to having two games vying for sales at the same time.

Could've just had the regular RE3 version with Resistance as an included DLC, but also being able to be purchased without owning RE3. Kind of like how the Masterchief Collection does it, no?

I just let a team full of level 1s win. I don't know why I did it, but I hope they had fun. The moment I spawned a buffed dog they struggled and a single berserk dog took like 45 minutes away from them.

say the games $60 for both they could have made it so that re3 is $60 and comes with resistance
resistance is say $20 to buy on its own, but if you own resistance you can get a 33% off RE3 if you decide to buy it
