You still need to pay to transfer your old Pokemon and you don't get access to the new forms, Pokemon, or feautres like making Apricorn Balls or new move tutors. Also, in Animal Crossing, various NPC that were removed don't really have a purpose now, as the player has the freedom of doing what those NPC did in previous games.

Anons, someone has to pay for Home or the DLC to get those Pokemon regardless if the patch itself is "free" it isn't any better than locking Pokemon behind coloseum and FRLG

Similair situation here. I'm post-credits-scroll in Animal Crossing and have lost no momentum in playing. Meanwhile I dropped Pokemon pretty faster after beating the main game, and only picked it back up for a day to beat up Mewtwo, then dropped it again.

People had the same complaint in BOTW. Breakable tools, or weapons, encourage the player to be constantly alert when using those tools. I thought it was bad in older animal crossings when you bought a tool and it just worked forever, I felt like I didn’t earn the use of that tool and crafting solves that.

I do not like the comparison of ACNH to SWSH at all. ACNH is polished and filled with new innovation and excellent game design. Is it a perfect game? No game ever was. Was it a waste of money? Hell no, I’ve played it every day since launch. However, I want my money back for every Pokémon game since sun and moon. None of those games lived up to their price tag like animal crossing does.

Animal Crossing's breakable tools are objectively bad because you're given no warning as to when they will break.

You can't call it a free update when someone is paying and it's completely unrealistic to obtain the "free" content in a timely and legit way without purchasing

The only people who have any issues with how "empty" it is (it's not) are the ones who go out of their ways to ruin the game for themselves by being impatient. The only difference between NH and any of the other animal crossings is that this time you're not rewarded for wanting to skip to summer for whatever fucking reason. You have to wait like the rest of us for the events whether you like it or not.

I mean, Animal Crossing fans had nothing to defend from. Nobody made 10 months of videos and tweets dragging that game. At 25 days into New Leaf you'd already have unlocked Tortimer's Island, Swimming, Cyrus, Dream Suite, Club lol, Kick's Shop, 2 upgrades for Nookling Junction, Museum Shop, Happy Home Showcase, Leif, and the Roost.

Needless restrictions are a staple for this specific dev team. These are the same retards that choose to have entire modes/maps in Splatoon be unplayable for days on end because they are on a rotation, for no good reason.

The devs that make AC are the same ones that made Splatoon and Splatoon 2 and are actually competant at adding in regularly uploaded free DLC updates and genuinely care about fixing bugs as soon as they come up. Timegating holiday events helps keep timetrannies from ruining the vanilla experience and overinflating the game's economy. I already have more hours in ACNH than I did with Shield.

GameFreak rarely ever puts out updates or fixes, and they charge half of the base price of the game ($30) for DLC. I'm sorry you are a dumbass whale for thinking GF/TPC is still worth defending lol.

Worst comes to worst, New Leaf is still a far better game than SwSh and it's only worth $20 now.
