OH MY GOD HE IS SO GODDAMN COOL

As long as they stay optional, I am cool with it.

don't bump my thread with useless posts

unironically this

Lingering Will

How does anyone play this game?

>deals 4-digit damage to you in a game where your HP cap is 255

I do wish there were more optional bosses in this game.

>this guy is literally right there when you get the submarine
>tfw playing FF7 for the first time and not knowing it was a superboss
>attacking it inmediatly and get btfo afterward
what kind of bullshit placement was that

Literally the best boss fight in all of vidya.

is this the karate master in mario RPG?

ENJOY THE MOMENT

AIRE TAM STORM

I think Yozora surpasses him

A lot of the superbosses in 1 and X were real kino. Actually took ridiculous amounts of planning and build preparation rather than just maxing your level.

Yes. His in-game sprite is so tiny it's sort of hard to make out what he is.

The knights aren't carrying your ass now, bitch.

It's the same guy every game but his moveset gets sillier each time

>part of a huge postgame bonus dungeon
>dungeon is filled with superbosses
>every superboss is preceded by a friendly NPC that heals you
>except this dude, he FUCKING MURDERS the NPC if you try to heal and immediately gets the jump on you
I wouldn't call him my favorite over some already mentioned here but that shit be cool as fuck

Yoroza is definitely a more fair and better made fight
But Lingering Will has the better boss theme and overall more appealing design than Yozora who is just a Riku/Noctis hybrid
They are both great but if LW is a 100, then Yozora is roughly a 95

>dat Kamen Rider aesthetic
>dat soundtrack
>dat way he jumps you as soon as the cutscene is over
.dat DM
>all those weapon transformations
>it's a 3-on-1 fight and he still has the advantage
>can wash you even on normal difficulty
Yeah, that's a good pick.

Yozora dethroned him

Superbosses are generally shit. I liked Xemnes in KH 1 though. Lingering Will isn't bad.

There's quite a few, but honestly, there would probably be never enough for a game this hype. I know of no other way to beat Pantera without the Black Uranus infinite juggle and Joshua on manual, which is still a strain on the brain.

Im gonna be pissed if the XIV version of Emerald isnt underwater.

Final attack+phoenix+elixir spam, bitch.

In 5 there's a superboss just walking around in the last dungeon. It's actually difficult to avoid him if you're not looking out for him.
There's also another superboss at the end of the same dungeon, just hiding in an unmarked chest.

An actual scary boss fight.

Memorization fights are gutter tier

I still remember seeing this fat fuck for the first time in Ratchet & Clank 2. Shit was intense.

>XIV
nah, you'll eat it up like the rest of the kusoge

Is it really a superboss if it isn't optional? Isn't it just a casual filter at that point?

The true Champion of Hoenn

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

There is some randomness to his attacks, so you need to react as well. It's not just memorization. Picking the right keyblade is also important.

based retard

He's not hard but it was still cool as hell.

Attached: 1494029546879.gif (500x450, 210.89K)

How would you make a superboss that is also a challenge without having to memorize moves to watch out for?

Attached: 1489702872069.jpg (272x185, 5.98K)

I like Kurt Zisa, it's a fun fight
best boss in a game with pretty mediocre bosses, he's fun if you remember to fight him before you get too many good guns
Kh1 xemnas pushed my shit in hard, anything that fucks with commands does

I still have my memory card and save game from 1997. And still haven't defeated Emerald Weapon or Ruby Weapon.

They are not enjoyable fights

this. pokemon generation 2 is pokemon at it's peak and all around absolute ludo

The dragon in FF12 with 20 billion HP

give it some bullshit like removing all buffs from your party, debuffs from itself, and all ailments and binds from itself at the end of each turn randomly, with a higher chance the more buffs/debuffs/aliments there are to remove. Also it still requires memorization since you need to use the correct elemental blocker on the turns that it uses one of it's elemental nukes or your party dies

Attached: EON_Abyssal_Princess.jpg (1280x720, 156.16K)

>one of the most kino moments in gaming history was in fucking Pokemon of all games

Attached: 004C3FAE-A2B5-42C6-A067-7056F4ECD07A.jpg (1280x720, 105.04K)

This asshole.

Attached: NUCLEAR.png (400x400, 194.08K)

teleported away rather than attack the player for free, no longer have to memorize how many attacks Sora is legally permitted to make before getting instagibbed

Dumb boomer
