Me too, I couldn't fathom how badly they could fuck it up. Being self aware that modders won't be able to fix up bugs for Bethesda was reason enough, but for the code to be still so accessible despite its online essential component was mind boggling.

As someone who put 200+ hours into it and enjoyed what I could, it had a lot of potential. It didn't deserve the sheer amount of shit that was essentially bandwagon'd from the start. However, they just accepted their fate and did nothing to try and improve for the long term. In the end, it's still very garbage.

It's not like people weren't aware Fallout 76 was a trashfire though, it's been out for almost two years.

If you owned the original game on Bethesda's platform you could get it again for free on Steam

I hate that you can't just put it on easy mode and explore like the other fallout games. You either get killed immediately or get kicked off the server. Literally the most annoying game, made worse because I kind of do want to explore the world

To be absolutely fair, a lot of those reviews are people who played the trial version from before and that gives them the ability to review the game
