When does it get good?

It doesn't
Nathan Taylor
When you git gud.
Nicholas Morris
When you git gud enough to get 10 game win streaks as the slayer in battle mode
Caleb Collins
TPBP
Henry Rivera
What should we play instead? I'll wait.
Adam Sullivan
Alright, so maybe its just me, but I for one have probably grown out of this genre to a point where I can no longer emmerse myself. But I find there is no substance in this game. Nothing compelling enough to justify it being a worthy sequel as opposed to a glorified DLC. I respect that this game knows what it is, and that it isn't trying to be anything more. But when I shell out another $60 I would hope not to feel like I'm playing the second chapter
Brayden Lewis
Not what I asked, faggot.
Hudson Allen
from the beginning
Liam Perry
sort of like Doom II?
Isaac Ross
Cut myself off, but anyways I'm saying I feel like if they added this entire part of the story to the 2016 game, then I wouldn't see the difference between games. We had nearly a 4 year gap, and all they really managed to do was add all sorts of gimmicky ways to kill demons. It's pretty much a button masher. Level design is fucking ass, backdrops are fucking pathetic, nothing seems finished. Its just a kaleidoscope gangbang if colors and chaos, I have no fucking idea whats going on half the time because my stupid little brain can't handle it.
Justin Kelly
Quake 1.5 or Slayer's Testament.
Josiah Williams
Why?
Eli Anderson
I feel like I know where you're getting at, they pulled a L4D2 and added some new features. Doesn't make it a bad game. People just have different preferences, you're obviously isn't this game so you shouldn't really bash it because it isn't YOUR kind of game. Given the circumstances, not too many people care to play anything else right now. This is a nice, all-out, balls-to-the-wall, shooter that (as you admitted) knows what it is.
William Green
They're fast and hard, like what nu-DOOM was supposed to be.
Carson Wright
Game was trash, cashgrab plain and simple. The more I played the more I just got frustrated at the fact that they literally sliced the 2016 game in half for this. This game was fucking lazy by design.
>That fucking mission where your on the train and the game forces you to hold in place when the train transitions from inside to outside by shamelessly teleporting you to a new area
Liam Lewis
Maiden Rape Assault: Violent Semen Inferno
Brody Collins
I know exactly the part your talking about and i had the same though cross my mind
Charles Young
Once you fully figure out the combat and equipment flow and have unlocked some key weapon master mods
All clicked for me around Super Gore Nest
Nicholas Gomez
Train levels are supposed to be fps kino but they somehow fucked it in this game.
Wyatt Bailey
Its not even a train, its moving platform on a rail. Thats the first thing they fucked up.
Daniel Anderson
Never. Overly complicated bureocractic design that keeps you from shooting demons for far too long
Alexander Ward
after the iD logo flashes on screen
Chase Collins
>adds verticality as a means to extend your game run time unnecessarily
>adds several upgradeables/kill methods to make you feel more thought of substance was put in
>only makes the main routes thoroughly detailed to overt your eyes from the nonexistent backdrop catastrophe
>Invisible barriers fucking everywhere
Brody Stewart
underrated post
Nicholas Hill
I know I'm a fucking casual, but I liked 2016 better. I don't like how limited ammo is in Eternal. You don't feel as bad ass when you forget to manage things correctly and then you have to run around the map to find an imp or 2.
Colton Reyes
honest truth, i fucking hated this game until i mastered all the tools to kill shit with. I admit it is a bit of a mess, but when you get it all figured out you feel godly when you nail some truly beautiful kill chains
Luis Myers
after you beat it and you're done and you realize you don't have to play anymore
Tyler Davis
The gameplay in Eternal is great, everything else is a step back from Doom 2016. Fuck all the cutscenes.
Leo Garcia
Agreed, 2016 felt a lot more fluid
Ryan Perez
They are all skipable though. Its a pretty accommodating game if you dont give a fuck about story
Joseph Jenkins
>reward for 10 minute long hectic fight?
>another 10 min long hectic fight of course!
dude what is pacing lmao
Henry Perez
It started to click once I got to the doomhunter boss, but I felt like I truly got gud at the ARC Complex level. Thats when I finally got into the flow state of the combat, shit was so fun.
