If you could go back to the prime years of one game, which game would it be and when?

WotLK WoW, playing as a death knight was extremely fun

Literally the first 30 days of this game after the original 2010 launch. Ultimately this game was wasted potential and disappointing but fuck it, those 30 days had some of the most hilarious shenanigans I've ever had in a online game. Just like the proximity voice chat that was always on by default, deep customization that let players write and design shit all over their cars and clothes. Fuck I miss the criminal player rage as I stun them with the tear gas grenade (which they couldn't get) and instead of cuffing them, walking up and shoot them in the face just because.

After the first month everything got kinda old and the hackers arrived.

WHY DOES IT HURT SO MUCH?

Warcraft 3 2008~2009. People really breaking open the world editor and figuring out how to do shit like have external libraries for stuff like models and music so the scope of games opened way the fuck up for the chinese autists willing to put in the work and the english-speaking autists who'd go and translate all that. Also living playerbase and it wasn't 100% dota.
