Its literally just a jeep ride while the villain has a monologue, didnt think there was anything wrong with it until I came on Yas Forums and people were sperging out about it, still dont get it. The whole reaction people had to MGSV feels so insanely overblown. Cant think of any other games that would get this nitpicked and hated completely underservingly. It wasnt a perfect 10/10 like reviewers said but its a great game and nothing will change my opinion on this. I still return to it for another playthrough every year and its fun everytime, what more could I ask for? It just makes me feel bad when people mock a good game.

Lots of people had meme'd themselves into thinking MGS was better than it was and when that happens there will be a point where the illusion breaks and there's a backlash, 5 was it.

The problem isn't the monologue, it's that the monologue ends and it's Boss and Skull staring at one another for almost five straight minutes in silence. I actually thought the game had bugged out when it happened because it seemed too ridiculous to be intentional.

One of the worst cuts to someone's dialogue ever. There's a jeep ride where you ride with the main villain up to his compound at the north part of the sandbox map, but instead of this being a cutscene; it's real time at slow jeep-level speeds (the jeep drives slower than your horse runs). So they had to fill almost ten minutes of time, and they only recorded about four to five minutes of the boss revealing his big evil plan. So halfway through he just stops and starts awkwardly staring at Boss while the theme music plays.
It was very clearly supposed to cut or maybe be a cutscene that would end with them arriving at the compound, but it's so hilariously stupid the way it's presented as to be one of the most ridiculous parts of that game.
