I've been playing Apex legends a shit ton since it came out. It's the first battle royale game I've given the time of day to try. Hated Fortnite and pubg was way too slow and tedious. I've done thousands of games in Apex and I love the look, the feel, and the combat of the game but can't stand the slot-machine mechanics of looting.
Apex has fluid movement and great mechanics. What other first person shooters feel fluid and fast like Apex does? Seems like whenever I play other shooters, I feel slow and sluggish. It feels like taking a step backwards.
Quake Champions. If you can stand trash like Apex, the hero shit in Champions shouldn't bother you.

There's honestly real slim pickings for fluid fps, anything with high skill ceilings have been abandoned. Quake would be correct but after learning arenas it becomes a chore to play.
theres not really one right now, black ops 4 is a bit similar but the movement is more limited, and infinite warfare is pretty much a titanless titanfall but im sure its dead at this point. titanfall 2 ironically has too much titan shit and bloat and takes away from gun fighting
id just keep playing apex, rng isnt that bad considering if you are really decent you can shit stomp people with naked wingman and r99 and snowball your loot from there. the only insufferable aspect are shit teammates that make retarded plays and expect you to 1 v 3 or third party faggots

How so? Servers are usually fairly mixed. Sure there‘s a good chance that there will be one guy with 2000 hours with the Kraber, but the rest is often just a mix of bad and average. And the game has such a low skill floor, with most weapons, you can kill anyone if you see them first.

i was a TF1 mad god when it came out doing all the insane stuff on old hadware, Missed the original TF2 train (origin + seeing how TF1 died in 6 month, didn't want to spend 60 bucks again + had to change monitor to a 6-8ms latency one)
had fun with apex when it came out (the gonzales runner was fun as fuck and allowed insane plays) but hype died out with the first DLC and poor balancing (got a pace keeper & wing man? yeah, no need for other weapons) also cheaters cleaning the maps & leavers fucked my fun pretty bad...
if there is ever a TF3 i might jump back in but i know that current set up won't allow me to peak back to my TF1 level
