I think they downgraded the ai and physics to have better graphics and a bigger world. Remember that the game was still being made for the same hardware, Xbox 360 and ps3. When next gen came out it was too late to add these features back, all they could do is rise the resolution and call it super dooper next gen hd edition

Well you thought wrong, it has nothing to do with console limitations. It has EVERYTHING to do with them designing the game around the Online mode. The whole reason the physics suck, were to make it easier on the Online mode.
