this is by far the most valuable single property Square Enix has. The Final Fantasy 7 IP is their most lucrative and sought-after property and they can't do better with it than an 8.1? That kinda score is what you expect from FF13-3 or FF15, not their big-hitter, not their golden goose, not the ace up their sleeves.
But the journalist score is the real feast for the eyes. The fact that they couldn't get this game to 90 means that event he journalists -a professions based almost solely around fund from publishers- somehow don't lift it to a solid 90. Hell, half the 100-reviews are from Playstation Lifestyle, PressSquare or SønyggersUnited and so forth.
It's pathetic beyond words in all regards.

Actually Gamespot gave a 10/10.
They gave TLOU a 7.8 or something. They call out bad games.

Advent Children, the official movie sequel, is an 88 with a 7.7 user score. Crisis Core is an 83 with an 8.6 user score. Dirge of Cerberus is a 57 with an 8.3 user score. The Compilation already raped this series over a decade ago and they continued whoring it out all over the place, from marketing ads to costumes in other FF games to fucking LittleBigPlanet. It still makes oodles of money, regardless of the scores and the sour, bitter fans spurned over the past twenty three years. Don't you ever fucking act like the Remake is some brand-new problem.
