oh god this is so good you zoomers will just never understand
youre right because I dont even bother playing without human +
Yeah i admit i got filtered by it. Does it get good once you get used to the controls?
The issue with this game is more the camera than the controls, high speed turning effectively makes you unable to see what you are doing at various angles so you have to know how to know how your shots work and listen for lock ons.
Also looking directly up and down is dogshit which is relevant exactly once at the absolute worst of part of the game to be relevant at.
I was so used to them that I didn't switch over come nexus and LR
I think it does. It works pretty well when you're trying to circle around enemies and make quick jinks to break lock or dodge fire. I think they're something a nightmare for tracking vertically, however.
All things considered, it works admirably well for a third person shooter developed before the PS1 gamepad had joysticks
It's not that bad. It's tank controls on the D-Pad with strafing mapped to the shoulders, and a pretty normal face button setup.
But it's a fun enough game, and one of the best shooters on the PS1 that it's a shame its controls filter a lot of people that might otherwise enjoy it.
Can't we just have an AC thread without this zoomer boomer shit
Does anyone want to 1v1 in either PS3 game?
This game gets me sick, and not necessarily because of the controls
It's the extremely jerky camera mixed with the low framerate that at times makes me need to pause it because I can't handle playing it for a long amount of time
>Rabbit
>90% of the time you are looking down
>Big carrots
If you don't know what game this, you are a zoomer
What is your favorite game in the series?
Nexus followed closely by LR, but I like every AC except for gen 2
What about you?
Do you have to turn the camera with L and R like every 3D game back then?
Last Raven - that game busted my balls as a kid, but it was very satisfying to succeed in
I just started going back and playing the PS1 games, which are quite charming and I think they still hold up pretty well. I didn't really play it during the PS3 era - which of those do you recommend?
4A and VD, they're the "real" versions of those generations
I love the desolate, mournful aesthetic of 4A - do you need to play 4 to get the most out of the story?
Nah, especially because the english version cut out tons of the story
>it's a shame its controls filter a lot of people that might otherwise enjoy it.
Controls are unironically a zoomer filter. If a zoomer plays a game and the controls aren't the exact same as every other game, they will drop it and call it shit. They seriously can't spend the five minutes it takes to adjust to an unconventional control scheme. They can't differentiate between a game actually controlling poorly vs the buttons not doing exactly what they do in every other game.

I don't get it
You can even rig yourself a pseudo-dual analog setup with the face buttona
Ravenbros....
Does anyone want to fight in 4A? I only have the Aaliyah and haven't customised her
>*Absolutely devours a plate of shit*
AC is amazing though, sounds like you got filtered
4 and V were shit, while 4A and VD were amazing. What was that all about? Were they rushed or something?
Is it more comfortable to play if you remap strafing to the D-pad and put all the aiming onto the shoulder buttons and triggers?
