Continue the mainquestline until you get a branching quest that goes either make your own kingdom or join a kingdom. Pick the make your own option. Be prepared to solo entire kingdoms on your own when you do so, and have fat coffers to pay for peace when you can't.

I feel like spearmen infantry in this game suck absolute fucking ass. Spear doesn't seem particularly good against cavalry and it's not like the AI usually has enough cavalry to warrant counter anyway. Against other infantry then spearmen become invalids.

if it's like warband then you put your beefy armored shield guys up front to snare the cavalry charge. you place your spearmen behind them because they can poke through their allies

Oceanic man here myeslf. Seems we only have 2 custom servers at the moment. I don't dare use the official browser. I hear they're planning to add dedicated servers for official matches further down the line.
