NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST USE A CHEAP CONVERTER THAT WORKS FINE

>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST USE A CHEAP CONVERTER THAT WORKS FINE
>YOU HAVE TO USE $80 SPECHIAL COMPONENT SHART ARRGEEBEE ESSSVIDEO CABLES AND PLUG IT INTO A $600 MEMEMEISTER TO GET THE REAL EXPERIENCE

What the actual fuck are you talking about, you sperg?

>he's not aware of the upscaling faggots and the crtniggers

i think post ps2 games look better on a crt, especially through high quality cables, but those things just work.

Stop shilling your trash products here cheng. I will never buy something designed or engineered by a chink.

Nigger, this isn't /vr/ no one here gives a shit about that. Hell, I use some shitty box to convert my composite to hdmi because I ain't paying 50-100$ just for my DC and N64 to look slightly better.

>Get one of these things
>Super excited to use my PS2 on my HDTV without it looking like shit
>My PS2 has stopped reading discs
Can I use a SATA to LAN adapter for OPL?

That converter crushes the blacks in the picture and runs in a weird resolution that’s different from what they advertise. You would unironically do better with cheat component cables you retard.

I bought one a long time ago that works with Xbox 360, Gamecube and PS2 games. It was pretty good but my PS2 doesn't work anymore.

Enjoy the input lag lol. Also why buy a single console solution rather than getting an upscaler?

That adapter doesn't support upscaling 480p resolution in games that support it and only looks mildly better than composite. It is does not "work fine".

i used one of these for my wii so I could play the metroid prime trilogy on a tv that didn't have component inputs. Had no issues with it and didn't notice any lag or anything.

>t. retards who buy gold plated monster cables

Nah I just buy things that actually work well and the adapter in the OP does not.

composite is cancer
even the shitty adaptors in the OP use either component or RGB signals

ps2 component cables are like 5 bucks

>crushes the blacks
the fuck does that even mean
Actually false
I played both ratched and outrun2006 in 480p as well as forced a bunch of games to 480p with GSM and it worked

The Wii one is fine but the PS2 one is awful.

Hey faggot you posted this on /vr/ too. This thing sucks dick.

for ps2 use component like a normal person.
however dq8 will look like shit, even though it supports widescreen.

regarding hdmi converters, the difference in quality is a real thing. i had a shit one for wii for awhile and later got a smash approved one.

i have that one... it aint as good as any chink made component cables. but if your tv doesn't have component it is ok

>works fine
Cope

I shouldn't have any problems using a super cheap micro HDMI to HDMI converter, should I? Why my GPU has a VGA, an HDMI, AND MicroHDMI is beyond me, but it does and I want to start using three monitors again. Would just prefer the cheapest possible solution, even if cords are only ten bucks.

>what the fuck does that even mean?
Crushed blacks is when you have an area that should be black on the screen, but instead it comes out as grey because of a lack of contrast or shitty dynamic range. So the entire image looks really flat and washed out.
If you've ever seen those Instagram filters or photos with a grey haze over the entire image, that's because it's got crushed blacks done on purpose in the image.

>NOOOOOOOOO WHY DOESN'T EVERY ONE HAVE GARBAGE TIER STANDARDS SUCH AS MYSELF???

That's a huge adapter

Micro HDMI to HDMI is just a passthrough cable with no conversion or adaption, so it's fine. It's literally no different than just using a regular HDMI cable.

not for honor but for you

somebody explain input lag
is it really that noticable?

Only speedrunner trannies notice it during their Mario runs

I said it in /vr/ and I'll say it here
JUST GET A BLOODY CRT

depends on the game genre and how much display lag your tv has
