I'm Prophet
Remember me
Why should anyone give a fuck? Crysis was a tech demo nothing more.
Crysis 1 was a genuinely good game though.
the first half/two third maybe
Based retard
Remasters. I'm calling it.
>New
yeah right

console game confirmed
Crysis has been a dead series since it came to Consoles
OH GOD I WANT IT IN MY ASS PLEASE FUCKING POZ ME CRYTEK UGHHHJ
Crysis 3 is a good game.
What a fucking joke.
Crysis is beloved because of its gameplay, characters, and awesome aesthetic. The high quality graphics merely enhance immersion. It's no different to FEAR. People need to understand that Crysis 2 was controversial because the gameplay changed. The cast of characters changed. The game felt disconnected from what people loved about Crysis. There's this completely untrue meme that people loved Crysis because it was pretty. That isn't true. Ubisoft's Far Cry games are pretty, but they can't compete with Crysis because they don't have the gameplay Crysis has. They don't have the gameplay the original Far Cry had. FEAR 2 superficially looks like FEAR, but it's not the FEAR people loved. Metro looks like STALKER, but it's not STALKER.
That said, FEAR 2 and Crysis 2 have their own fans. They're decent games. But the reason they are so disliked is their gameplay. It's as simple as that. The movement, the pacing of combat encounters, the way the story is told. (Crysis 2 has this inane HOO RA thing thing going on that neither Crysis 1 nor Crysis 3 have.)
Oh god please don't.
>crysis 1
a technological milestone, a demanding benchmark for years to come but actually a pretty enjoyable game as well
>crysis 2
throws out almost everything that made the first game good, goes call of duty audience and manages to look graphically worse in some parts as well
>crysis 3
at this point, no one cares anymore. graphically superior(?) but ultimately forgettable
What are we looking forward to exactly? Crytek has been a shell of its former self for more than a century. Also, the turkroach CEO has been filling his own pockets while treating his employees like shit for years. Look it up.
Crysis guy is going to personally kill the all the Chinese and end the Corona Virus.
Nah, the graphics in Crysis is what made it popular, it was 10 years ahead of everything else
Crytek keep pushing it on Consoles & wondering why no one wants their generic shooters with graphics worse than exclusive console games that don't need to compromise across different platforms
Crysis 4 will probably be an open world game a la Far Cry with a Battle Royale mode.
Crytek's next game is a crossplatform AAA title. Any Crysis remasters are going to be cross-platform. Let's not forget why Crysis had to become multiplatform in the first place. STALKER 2 is going to be multiplat as well.
This has to be a zoomer post. Crysis was entirely unremarkable outside of its system crushing graphics at the time.
friendly reminder that EA forced Crytek to make the game in Jew York, the most boring copy/paste setting imaginable.
crysis is a consoleshit series now. We will never get a game that replicates the wackiness of the original suit
Crysis 2/3 almost killed Crytek because it sold worse than Crysis 1
>Nah, the graphics in Crysis is what made it popular, it was 10 years ahead of everything else
Far Cry was years ahead of all the other games on the market, but people loved it for its gameplay. This is like saying people loved Ultima Underworld because it was more advanced than anything else on the market. No, they loved it because of its gameplay.
Wrong. Crysis 1 didn't sell anywhere near as well as its fans seem to think it did. Crysis 2 broke even, regardless, and that's why Crysis 3 happened.
There is a reason every single FPS series including Doom went multiplatform. The PC market cannot sustain AAA budgets in these games. You have to go wider.
Crysis 1 was such a big hit, Crytek opened multiple studio's worldwide & started work on Cryengine 3, now all those studio's are shut down & they couldn't even pay the few workers they had a couple of years ago
Crysis 1 sold more than 3 million copies by 2010 and it was a PC only title. You're full of shit.
crysis 2 was multiplat and sold almost the same as crysis 1 which is pc-only
were you lobotomised? honest question
>Crysis 1 was such a big hit, Crytek opened multiple studio's worldwide & started work on Cryengine 3, now all those studio's are shut down & they couldn't even pay the few workers they had a couple of years ago
Crysis 1 only cost 20 million dollars to make. Also, Crytek got completely fucked in 2008 when the GFC came along. That's why Redemption got cancelled and they put all their resources into a Crysis 2. If Crysis 2 failed, the entire company was going to collapse.
>crysis 2 was multiplat and sold almost the same as crysis 1 which is pc-only
Nah, the console versions of Crysis 2 eventually sold a few million copies on each console apiece, plus a few million on PC. C2 massively outsold Crysis 1.
No, their decline started with Crysis 2, it had a massive budget as they expected Call of Duty numbers
incorrect, the numbers we have put Crysis 2 at 3mil across all platforms
>This has to be a zoomer post.
Not everyone who disagrees with you was born after 2004, you brain damaged moron. Stop throwing buzzwords around, this board is rooting your brain.
i would like a source on those numbers chief
>incorrect, the numbers we have put Crysis 2 at 3mil across all platforms
PS3 had 3.7 million alone.
gamstat.com
how many white people do I have to hate in this one?
please don't
Crysis 4 or Crysis remake?
You gonna use vgchartz too?
t. never played it
New York could be a great setting, imagine knocked over buildings, lots of indoor places, completly open world post apocalypse. Thing is I don't see that being done in the time that Crysis 2 came out, hell not even in 2020
>some literally who site that even states that its numbers arent official
Also, these estimate numbers don't account for
>using multiple accounts on one console with the same copy of the game
>the game being on sale for literally a few bucks years later
>the game being part of PS+, therefore being in millions of game libraries automatically
1=Warhead>3>2
It's a top heavy game, it has a very strong start and gradually tumbles downward before falling off a cliff in quality the further you get into it.
The bow also trivializes the entire game since you can fire it out of cloak without penalty.
Crysis 2 is still peak Crysis, it only has 2 bad levels out of its entire roster versus half for the rest of the series and the score still makes me hard.
based contrarian poster
1=Warhead and you can stop playing now
>Let's not forget why Crysis had to become multiplatform in the first place.
Crysis 1 sold better than 2 and 3
Most of C1's sales were on massive clearance and years after release, I got a retail copy of the Maximum Edition for $15AUD from EB Games back in mid 2009.
Crysis 2 port for switch.
