Danganronpa 10th Anniversary

Thoughts on what the announcements will be?
I'm holding out hope for another mainline game as opposed to an Ultra Despair Girls 2, but I don't see how there could be another one unless they decide to reboot the franchise.

isn't it a fucking card game?

I'd take a more polished UDG desu.

Your mom's a fucking card game and I shuffled her last night.

I want a noncanon spin off like a fighting game, hell a kart racer would be funny too. I absolutely do not want UDG2 or a Danganronpa 4

>various games, goods and tie ins

Dating sim with Miu.

Harem simulator where you play as Teruteru

This is what I hope as well. I can't see them making a new mainline game without it being totally shit.

An UDG without Komaru ruining it does sound pretty good.

Danganronpa ARG, kill somebody else playing without getting caught for two weeks, win a prize

hoping they reboot beta dr1 for a distrust release

Remake of the first game but with a bunch of shit changed up. If successful followed eventually by remakes of the other two.

I love Junko!

shit 18:30 JST is 4:30 in the morning for me.

What? Does every game have to be a remake now?

> I don't see how there could be another one
why do brainlets think this

...

There easily could be another one, but what's the point? V3 wrapped up the series in an excellent style. What I want to know is why smoothbrain consoomers want another one so bad. Move on, play Ace Attorney or Zero Escape if you want a new VN

You know you can easily filter these threads right?

I want more because I enjoy it

Sometimes it's more satisfying to have something end on a good note instead of being dragged through the mud for the sake of the same patterns being repeated

>There easily could be another one, but what's the point?
money

Because the writer is done with the series and I don't trust anyone else to write Danganronpa.

Sure, but I dont see why we would already be at that point. I agree V3 was a satisfying conclusion, but so what? Let's top it.

You're missing the point then

and what would that be?

The number 1 way to improve any trial game would be to have the trials fork depending on your actions, so arriving at the correct verdict isn't a foregone conclusion. Instead of immediately punishing you for every wrong answer, some wrong answers should allow you to follow the wrong train of thought. For example, the blackened is attempting to frame your friend. The game allows you to accuse your friend, argue the case, and take it to conclusion if you don't recognize your own error. Imagine finishing the final comic, watching the animation with the victory music, then find out you've lost. Sent back to the start of the trial, you'd have to think in broader terms about the crime and where you were tricked. They wouldn't necessarily have to write a fork into every trial if it's too time consuming. Just the threat that you could be getting tricked would add tension.

I don't expect much in way of gameplay improvement desu, but I'm still psyched for more Danganronpa. Just so long as it isn't a mobile gacha game.

You're missing the point, rewatch the epilogue

I don't know what point you retards think you're talking about but chances are you're both wrong.

It should send you back to the fork
Sort of like when you call out Kyoko's lie in danganronpa 1
Let the trial continue for like another 10 minutes or so before you lose
Adds tension, makes it a bit more difficult, without being too time consuming

Watch it be a switch port of the trilogy and nothing new

I don't like this idea because it would mean that by getting everything right on the first try, you will be missing out on huge amounts of content in each trial. Now in order to get the full experience of the game you have to intentionally get the wrong answers in the trial and replay it over and over, mashing through a bunch of repeated dialogue along the way. In the end most players would just look up a guide or watch the alternate paths on Youtube.

DANGANROPA
DODODODODOODODODODODODDO

I’d like it if after completing a trial For the first time (or at least getting far enough to know for sure who the culprit is) you’d get a unique game over/bad ending sequence if you run out of health that shows whoever the current blackened is winning and everybody else dying

Remember when Chiaki Chad and his clique ran amok of the baconfuckers? Good times.

I just want a DR game without all the "hope and despair" themes that get poorly forced in to every single game; just a series of murder mysteries while we slowly figure out who the mastermind is and how to escape. No hope, no despair, and ABSOLUTELY no Junko. I'm convinced that people don't actually like Junko as a character at all; it's all forced popularity by Kodaka because Junko being popular is part of the narrative and themes.

>oom
Opinion discarded, please go crawl into a hole and die.

Literally the only thing Junko has going for her is being a hot chick. Nobody actually likes her as a character

The CCC was the only thing that made Danganronpa threads bearable back then.

i never liked junko.

at best i found her tolerable, which was in 1, the more i saw of her the more i was sick of her until 3 made me wish she never has anymore involvement.

Junko feels like she was arbitrarily selected out of the cast for the “it was actually my twin” evil mastermind twist and then they had to write the entire rest of the series around it

Die mad about it

Could you please stop speaking, I prefer to only talk to human beings.

That's how stories are normally written

The hope/despair themes are pretty boring, I'll agree. At least they slightly mix it up in 2 and 3 but they still say hope/despair way too much.

Honestly, as long as a Danganronpa game has fun characters and fun trials, I'll enjoy it. From that perspective I think the games have only been getting better too. 3 > 2 > 1. In terms of characters/trials, which to me is the most important thing.

>I just want a DR game without all the things that make it DR andset it apart from other murder mysteries.
Fuck off. Hope & despair 4 lyfe
