I'm thinking of doing this. I work with black people. I just want to play video games for a living.

It's called at-will. You can't demand I stay at my job.

>you should be thankful you have this job, plenty of people out there are looking for a job and i can replace you in a heartbeat
>NOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE YOUR JOB

I actually did this once at a point where I got super depressed and to this day I still feel guilty about it, the people in this thread defending it should kill themselves.

No u, depressed boy

>I work with black people
>work
>black people
>black
>people
huh?

Is this pic from a game? A book? Source?

your stomach will

I did this. I worked with women. Best decision I ever made.

very much considering this for my current job.
The work itself isn't bad, but the corporate environment is soul draining.
I'm saving up for a home deposit, dumping as much as I can into it over the next 5 years and then getting the fuck out into something a little more relaxed, and paying the rest off at a slower rate

My stomach is fine. My last boss didn't appreciate the work I did, so as soon as I got a new job I just disappeared and never returned his calls.

>being literally so cucked that you apologize to your corporate overlords for leaving your jobs
Spotted the American

Capitalism is evil, comrades.

I worked at a call center about ten years, went to lunch, and just spontaneously decided "fuck it" and drove home. You do what you have to to survive, but life's too short to suffer like that.

i really dont blame people from walking out in certain situations.
A friend of mine did recently and he seems super fine.
I did it myself from a well paying job that was making me work 11 hours a day from monday to monday. That shit was awful

How many games out there actually punish you for accepting a quest and then never doing it? The only motivation I have to avoid that behavior is if a) accepting that quest closes others I might want to do; or b) my ocd gets triggered when there's a quest I'm never going to do in my quest log or whatever

i've been enjoying my corona holiday and free $2000 a month neetbux. it's gonna suck having to go back to work

>How many games out there actually punish you for accepting a quest and then never doing it?
plenty of games have time limits for quests user

>How many games out there actually punish you for accepting a quest and then never doing it?
basically any timed side quest.

>i should be able to just quit my job on the spot without even saying anything
Yes
The caveat is that you then get to talk shit about me if I am stupid enough to use you as a reference for future hiring processes. But if you're so shit that I drop you without even yelling it to my manager walking out the door then that was never happening in the first place.

have an upvote, fellow vedditor!

I got pissed off in the middle of my shift, simply said "I quit" and walked out. I ended up going back in for an exit interview though, and as a result I got paid for the entire last week despite not working.

an employer is legally obligated to state a reason for a firing. they can state anything they want though as long as it doesnt fall under any equal opportunity laws.

fun fact: "because i dont like you" is a legal reason to fire someone.

Yes, that's correct. An employee is only a small piece of the larger company, so it's laughable to think that having someone quit should be comparable to someone losing their livelihood (possibly irreparably scarring their life) without warning or reason.

>"because i dont like you" is a legal reason to fire someone
Fucking burgers. The employer would have to pay your wage for like a year if they fired you with such a shitty reason here.

Eh, that would be an asshole thing to do, but the employee should be able to quit just like that.

Meant to quote

Literally done this at every single one of my past jobs. Feels fucking amazing man.

do euros always immediately believe anything each other post?

You're not hurting the corporate chain, but you're hurting the people you directly work with at store level.
You fuck up scheduling and amount of staff present to the point where when people just up and quit, you're fucking all your Co workers in the ass, because many will be asked to work over time, or they just have to pick up your slack u tip a new employee is hired.
Basically, fuck you.

It's more about how shitty burgerland looks if something like that doesn't even raise an eyebrow.

if thats the case, then being an insufferable piece of shit will still be the reason they fire you, they'll just say it was because you were negligent in your duties or some other corporate sidetalk. you can't really believe being hated by everyone around you consequence-free is a right.

Jesus I've been working at a call center for 6 months and I'm ready to fucking quit. And I have it easy with outbound. I really wish I had another option but the only thing out here is call center jobs and I have no savings, and my Dad forced me out of the home so I could "learn to survive on my own" but the only thing I gained so far is suicidal tendencies, and food and drug addictions.

You should never give a two weeks notice. They don't give you one when you get fired.

Based and stomach-pilled

"i dont like you" from your boss turned into being a colossal jerk to everyone.
Why are 'murricans so intent on defending their shitty fire-at-will practices?
After all, you are the ones who have to take corporate dicks up your asses (like working on weekends or no guaranteed holidays) because of that.

Maybe don't work at a job without a union , retard. :)
I know you want to stick it to the man so fucking badly like the little eighteen years old you are, but you're hurting store level employees more than anything else.

>but the other people will have to do their job!
Boo fucking hoo. If you're working somewhere that has to rely on scheduling then chances are the cretins you work with could use the overtime pay anyway. Besides, if shit's really that bad then maybe you should talk to your manager. Stop trying to browbeat people into compliance when your real beef is with the people employing you.

you know someones fucking pissed when they drop the smiley face

My shift partner did that to me when I was wagecucking at the grocery store. It totally fucked me over for the entire afternoon. After my shift he called and was like "bro you want to hang?" What a socially stunted man. Was that you?

Yep, you just have to take turns being fucked in the ass instead. Think of your co-workers!

If you really want to hurt your company just steal valuable shit, duh

You just proved the point though
If employers can fire for no reason then employees should be able to walk out without a word

I feel bad for anybody that has to work with you.
Imagine lacking any kind of work or moral ethic.

Nothing stopping them from quitting too. Unless they really need the money, in which case you are doing them a favor.

if your boss is the only one that doesnt like you, it might as well be everyone.

i can tell you don't really have much work experience.

This feels like a pasta. Is this a pasta user? I'm sure i've read a series of words like this and it was some shitpost.
